I wanted something I could throw on and be comfortable in for long stretches of time which meant none of the 5 inch wedges that I'm seeing everywhere. But I also wanted something sort of versatile that could go casual or a bit dressier which meant no flats. Something in the 2-3 inch heel range.</p> <p>Yesterday I was in a local shoe boutique and mentioned what I was looking for to the sales lady. She suggested the Michael Kors Xander and oh my GOD am I so glad she did. I would not have picked these up--nothing about them exudes a high comfort factor but they are incredibly comfortable on (as she promised). I think the stretch fabric strap around the heel helps immeasurably on that score, as does the well cushioned sole.<br /> Now, for those who can't do ANY heels or have very fussy feet, I don't want to lead you astray here, but for those of you who don't mind a bit of a heel but want something comfortable, I highly recommend these!<br /> I think the style can go dressy or casual but I'm mainly in love with how good they feel on!
