It's a keeper. Love the color and feel of the fabric. Neckline falls below my collar bones -- modest but not too high. Tummy area is loose so comfortable enough for every day.
(Tried it on with my silver Ecco sandals and am very happy with the outfit, will try to attach photo later ).

I love this dress and hope it works. The sleeves and hem make it a better than the average dress!! Definitely both suited for casual and dressy occasions.

Thanks Danskogirl!
I live near their old showroom and was hoping to visit this summer once school was out - but then they moved!
Glad to hear it washes well as that is one of my concerns when buying new clothes right now - I don't have time or the inclination to baby my everyday wear.
So last night, I ordered the Geneva dress in Evening Blue I decided it was more in tune with my current wardrobe and shoes.

I just got the Geneva dress in evening blue - petite size. I LOVE IT!!! The neckline is higher than I usually go for -- I usually wear V-necks -- but I found that wearing a long pendant necklace to draw the eyes down makes it work visually for me. The sleeves are also shorter than I'd like -- I'm self-conscious about my arms -- but at least these sleeves end up angling at a diagonal on me, rather than cutting across horizontally. Despite those two issues, I still love the dress.

It is soooo comfortable and drapes beautifully. It washes well. (I've only had it a week so can't speak to durability but it seems to be well made.) I love the evening blue color since it can go casual with sneakers or flat sandals for daytime, and the deeper color works well for me with strappy heels in the evening. It layers well under a jacket.

You mention getting through a Seattle summer. If you live in Seattle: Did you know they just opened a Seattle showroom where you can make an appointment to try things on? It's in the Belltown neighborhood: https://www.universalstandard.com/pages/visit-us. (I'm not employed by Universal Standard. I just went to their open house earlier this month because I was so curious about the brand and to try things on, and now I'm a fan.)

Delurked - thanks for the Wardrobe Oxygen tip. I just checked it out, I think it would fit similar around the waist although I would be a regular (she shows both sizes which was helpful),... I don't like the Marine blue in her photos! May have to reconsider black or evening blue, as the marine seems murky. I tend to wear black, navy and white, with some fuchsia or pale blue... But the review was helpful to see the dress in more of a real life situation.

lisa p and Suz - I think I agree that it is probably worth trying. If it fits well and I can accept my current size/shape it looks like it would be a workhorse.

I also like that dress. My only personal hesitation is wondering if the neckline is too high.

I’ve only seen it on Allie over at Wardrobe Oxygen, but I like the looks of it.

I'm inspired by all the lovely dress photos and want a new summer dress. Due to health issues, I've gained quite a bit of weight over the past year, much of it settling in my waist and thighs, so wear a 14-16. My clothes from last summer don't fit, and I'm not comfortable in the body con, sheath dresses. BUT Kari has posted some lovely pieces from Universal Standard and they have a loose fitting dress, modest neckline and hits below the knee (Geneva dress, in Camo in the Finds, but I'm looking at the Marine color). I'm considering this for my 50+ yo mom-on-the-go/teen taxi driver to help me get through the Seattle summer and take on a trip to Germany in August.

Has anyone else tried this dress? Does it wash and wear well?
