They were a bit sheer (sit down and the knee shows through a bit, like opaque tights that arent super thick), so I wore them more with tunics and dresses, under boots.</p> <p>I also thought they were kinda short. I'm 5'3" with disproportionately long legs and take a 31" inseam if I'm wearing flats. Probably so it wouldn't be seen when worn as an underlayer. Great layering, no cling, easy enough to launder and hang dry - in case any one else is thinking of trying them. Nice hems didn't seem bulky at all. With my short arms, I appreciated the 3/4 sleeves. Wore them under everything through our very cold winter on my windy walk to work everyday.
