Thank you... I hope to see some of London for a day trip if the weather is on our side. Otherwise, we have Midlands on the menu

I would stick with the current one. He knows your current hair, and its always nice to continue to nurture a good relationship with your current stylist.

Thanks all.

Sharon - great point. If I'm heading (haha, pun not intended) somewhere, it will be with the current guy.

Hmm, I'd stick with my current guy. My hairdresser usually has a bit of an idea about how he is going to evolve my cut over the year so it does not stagnate style-wise, and I wouldn't want to mess that up by having someone with a different idea take it in a different direction.

I try to do cuts when I visit the states too..but I usually find it is such a hassle, especially if you are past your normal cut date and feeling it HAS to get done. I'd recommend doing it now and enjoying your trip without an errand

What Gaylene said! I would judge it by the amount of time I had to spend and when I needed my hair to look "just so."

I'd say it depends on your schedule. I usually schedule my cut a couple of weeks prior to a trip to give the cut time to "settle", but that's just my personal preference. If you have more time during your vacation, and it's easy to schedule a few hours with your former stylist for a trim and a visit, then why not?

I always find questions about 'hairstylist etiquette' on the forum slightly strange. It sounds like it doesn't matter either way, how about just doing what fits better into your schedule?

Hard to say but it sounds like everyone is ok with it. If you have time while in England and need a cut anyway, why not have your guy there do it?

There is a high likelihood of travelling to England for Christmas holidays. I'm already excited about planning another travel capsule and planning many other things.

Amongst them - whether I should visit my old hairstylist for a haircut? Normally I did it every time I went back to my previous place of living. The guy was great and the time spent chatting with him is always super fun. In any case I plan to visit him at least to say hello as I want to keep in contact.

The thing is - my new hairstylist here is great too. I am due for another haircut anyway and it really is a matter of who'll do it. I have no preference.

The English guy knows I have moved on and there is someone else new in my life :-)

The German guy also knows I went for a haircut to my previous stylist every time I had the opportunity. He also knows I'm his for good if he keeps doing great job.

So, what would you do?
Yes: "Old" English or
No: "New" German hairstylist?
