I like the sporty-meets-subtle glam vibe. And it skims without clinging. </p> <p>The jeans are fun, and I have a little retro-nostalgia looking at them, because I remember having and loving jeans with that front vertical stitching (which can be helpfully slimming when done right!). I would style them simply so the boho vibe isn’t costumey or overwhelming. I actually like the way the model is styled but I can’t do any kind of tuck with these jeans. Maybe a loosely knotted shirt? I’ll play with them before committing but I’m pretty sure I can work with them. Im liking the idea of a longer jacket or blazer with them too, for that long-over-long silhouette.</p> <p>I was a little worried they were snug on me — they only had a 29, which is my usual size in Pilcro, but these are really fitted, and I’m also currently in the upper range of my weight since I have not been terribly good at keeping up with healthier habits of late. However, I could feel them loosening up even just wearing them in the fitting room, and the other customers and the SA reassured me that they didn’t look tight, just fitted (hopefully the way they should look). I wanted to see if they had the top Angie recommended (see third Find), and see if there were any other late season summer goodies lingering around. I ended up trying on a couple of tops, and since I was wearing a dress, I grabbed a pair of jeans off the sale rack just so I could see how the tops worked with jeans. </p> <p>Well, three different customers in the fitting room area remarked on the jeans, so I actually *looked* at them, which was funny because I was focusing on tops. Well, I decided I actually quite like them! So, enabled by the encouragement of strangers, and a sale price plus the birthday month discount, these jeans came home with me. They’re high waisted but I’ll just wear untucked tops with them. I was laughing that they’re kind of 70s-tastic, but I kind of like that vibe. The length is perfect with the small heel height I prefer to wear. </p> <p>This sleeveless metallic top came home with me too. I think it looks good by itself with crops or a skirt for summer, but will also be cute with a jacket in fall. </p> <p>I like the tee that Angie recommended, but they didn’t have the color I wanted (the blue) in the size I wanted. The M fit fine, but I wanted a bit more length and ease to it, so I’m glad I ordered the L online. Anthro is so tricky sizewise — most tops there I end up buying in a S, but I find that I *can* wear as many as three different sizes in a single garment there, depending on the fit I’m after.</p> <p>ETA photos. Please ignore hair and face — I’m about to go for a swim so haven’t bothered with any of that yet today. I was trying on the jeans, and the tanks I ordered arrived, so I threw those on too. Opinions welcome. I feel like the metallic top looks better in person than in photos, but I do realize that high crew neck isn’t the easiest on me. Wondering if I look too busty in this top. Or maybe I need to try the top with other bottoms — this isn’t necessarily how I’d style it. Just trying these on all at once. I thought I’d throw on the Mural plaid long jacket with these jeans just to see if proportions work. Hmm. Feedback welcome. I don’t want to keep anything that’s just so-so. </p> <p>When I was placing my Anthro order, I also popped this wrap top in my cart — pics 7-10). I love the fit and the colors, but I didn’t realize it was a gathered sleeve — not my favorite. I unbuttoned the sleeve to take these photos. I like the top very much other than the sleeve — what do you think? Maybe I could have the sleeve altered somehow? The fit is so nice, I don’t want to write it off if there is a good solution. </p>
