Aquamarine, if you have really dark circles you may require a corrector and a concealer. Recommend LM. Fuzzy

I'll second Emily's recommendation of the True Match blendable crayon. I've tried several pricier concealers from Nars, Bobbi Brown, Paula's Choice, Benefit, and MAC over the years and this drugstore one is the best I've ever used. Doesn't settle into the wrinkles, stays put, easy to apply with my little finger, and natural-looking shades. I rarely wear foundation or even tinted moisturizers anymore so this little number is just right for fixing any discoloration or shadows under my eyes. Plus it doesn't count as a liquid or gel so I don't need to worry about tossing into my bag when I travel.

I had good luck with the L'oreal True Match super blendable crayon concealer. I don't wear foundation, either - I use a little of this under my eyes and on any blemishes. I apply it on moisturized skin and usually skip powder.

Like Day Vies I use concealer with powder and don't wear foundation, but I wear some kind of moisturizer or sunscreen. I use Aveda concealer brushed on and then blended with a makeup sponge, and dust lightly with a big brush and Aveda dual base powder. It usually lasts all day. It's somewhat pricey for me, but it completely matches my skin and a little goes a long way (I use a tiny paint brush to get the last bits out of tube when the applicator can't reach them). It doesn't build up in crevices that I've seen.

Ah. DayVies is using the L'Oreal one that I used to get and can no longer find.

What a fund of information and options! It's really interesting how varied the responses are. I have tried a few of the other listed here (St. Laurent, for instance) and those didn't work as well for me as the ones I've mentioned. So it may have to do with how well the particular one blends with your skin tone, your skin type, and your type of dark circle.

I found that video very informative -- thank you, fastkat.

I have terrible under eye circles. I have tried everything from YSL to ELF. Last year I stumbled across L'Oreal True Match concealer and it my miracle. I also LOVE YSL Touché L'Eclat. That is more of a highlighter but is a great pick me up, especially at night for me. Finally, Cover Girl color corrector, not the concealer, but the corrector is fantastic for me when I mixed in a little face moisturizer, I am 49 and need the moisture.

The L'Oreal works so well for me because I choose it by undertone and color. None of the others offer that.

I agree with Nancy that the YSL is worth every penny. Good Luck

Bobbi Brown has a really great eye kit - a concealer w/yellow undertones + a yellow powder to set it. I bought it in addition to the corrector. Worked really nice on my dark circles.

I second the Clinique Airbrush concealer, it is a nice, iluminating concealer. All about eyes concealer from the same company is good too. Bothe are on the sheerer side.
For more coverage I have also used Laura Mercier and Bobbi Brown under eye concealers and liked both. I recently tried IT cosmetics under eye concealer in the tube. It covers like crazy, stays well and covers my hyperpigmentation well. I have dark eyelids and undereye and it works well to neutralize. You do have to have a good moisturized base with this one because it is a little on the dry side. I have found with the heavier concealers application with a good concealer brush and then patting over area with a clean ring finger is key for natural looking application.

I use Benefit's Fake-up. I've been pretty happy with it. It's a stick that you can either dab under your eye or do one swipe under your eye and blend in. I use option 2 because I have awful dark circles. I haven't noticed this one settling in too much.

I like Laura Mercier concealer which comes in a little pot and is applied with a brush. One trick that I learned from the woman who first sold me on this was to apply the concealer in the inner corners (where your eyes and nose meet),
as it brightens up the whole eye area. It makes a difference on me.

I use the Sephora concealer pen that's very similar to the Clinique airbrush one that deb mentions. I like it because I can get it in a color that's light enough, and pink enough (most concealers and foundation are too yellow for my skin tone). Although I am taking notes on everyone else's suggestions to try!

I use concealer with powder. Concealer is likely to be tinged yellow to cancel out the purplish undertones of dark circles. It will not match your skin but it will cover your circles as a result, you will also need to invest in a powder matching your skin tone to blend your concealer with your skin tone. I guess what I'm saying is for the best most natural looking coverage you need to use both a pressed powder and a concealer.

I use L'Oreal's True Match concealer in neutral 6-7-8 and pressed power in neutral (N8). I've tried more expensive make up lines and this is the only one I've found that really matched my skin and did not make me look orange either in sunlight or in pictures.
Happy hunting!

I use one recommended on a lot of blogs and magazines. It's called Cle de Peau. I have fair skin and it blends in like there is nothing there. I stays put no matter what. Never settles into lines and turns powdery, dry, imperceptible. Love it. Pricey but worth every penny and lasts forever. Nordies carries it. Dermablend is cheaper but not as natural or long wearing. Good luck!

I use Estee Lauder Double Wear concealer. I am not a fan of Double Wear foundation but I love this concealer. It actually covers, doesn't cake, and doesn't emphasize fine lines. Here are some reviews at Nordstrom: http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/es...../3372085?c

Another good concealer that I can recommend is Eve Pearl salmon concealers. I have the Light/Medium. It does a great job of counteracting dark circles. The only downside to this concealer is that it is a bit too moisturizing and can tend to slide. I have oily skin so maybe that is an individual issue. If you set it with a very light dusting of translucent powder it shouldn't be a problem.

I know a lot of people rave about the Maybelline Instant Age Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer. I have been meaning to try this for months! It is often sold out at my local CVS or Walgreens.

I have dark circles and lots of wrinkles. I've tried everything, from common brands you can buy at the drugstore to very expensive products requiring a two-step application process. Unfortunately nothing works perfectly, but my favorite is Coverstick Concealer by Maybelline. It comes in several shades, and I've learned it's important to select a color that is not lighter than your natural skin tone. If you do, you will have white circles with black circles showing through... ugh! Coverstick is creamy, stays in place throughout the day, and does not make your wrinkles look worse, a common problem. I apply it with my fingertip to bare skin. I don't use moisturizer or foundation.

This is a frustrating problem with no perfect solution that I've ever found. Good luck!

I use this one from Clinique. I never wear foundation, so I just apply it and blend into my skin. It doesn't cover completely but it does diminish the circles.

It replaces a similar product from L'Oreal that they seem to have stopped making, or at least is no longer available in my local area.

I am looking for recommendations for an under eye concealer. I have dark circles (likely allergies as well as fatigue/pigmentation issues) and would like to cover them up, at least for some occasions. I usually do not use any foundation, preferring a sheer BB cream to even out some areas.

What do you all use, given that I would prefer it to work on bare skin. Is that even possible? I am a such a newbie And, while we're at it, can we find one that does not sink into my fine lines? I do use an under eye cream daily.
