I normally wear a small/size 4. I'm a small chested IT, so no hips. Fortunately, my store had a s and xs. I chose the xs for less bagginess around the torso.<br /> I just washed it for the first time (air dried) and I don't believe it shrank. I can grab about 2 inches of fabric on each side of my waist. (I buy size 27 jeans.) It is about an inch and a half above my knees. Right under the arm area it measures 19 and a half inches across. I bought a very similar hi-lo hem dress at Target earlier this summer and loved it so much, I bought two more in different colors. I wear them with leggings because even with the temps in the 100F range, I will not bare my legs and they are a skosh short for me. But they are so comfortable and have become this summer's go-to work horses.
