Fathenry, Eva is the dyeing expert here. She wrote out a very detailed post to me once when I considered dyeing a jacket (which I never did because I'm too wussy and afraid of ruining it). She doesn't post anymore to my knowledge.

Thanks girls for the advice. I looked at it again today and decided that the poor skirt was on its last legs anyway so it might be the time to retire it anyway. I found a possible replacement skirt this morning which I'm going to mull over tonight. It's from French Connection and in on super sale for €20 down from €65.

I'm still gutted though!

This happened to me once and I was told that the only color that takes up over bleach (without having to bleach the whole garment) is black. But my pants were a somewhat stiff, khaki fabric.

You can try to bleach it all and die again. I once have put sequins and beads around bleach stains on a knit top. The result always got compliments. Can you do something like that?

I've got a feeling you'd have to bleach then redye or the colour uptake will be uneven on the parts bleached versus not bleached x

Sometimes I have to seriously wonder about my luck! I was cleaning the storeroom at work when I knocked over a bottle of bleach and splattered my grey cotton pencil skirt. I now have several noticeable pink and white bleach marks on my skirt. Would it be possible for me to dye it back to grey or would I have to bleach it and then redye it again?

I'm so annoyed about this!
