I would definitely contact customer service. At the very least, they should pay for return shipping and the shipping for a clean, new pair. How anyone could look at these and think it would be acceptable to send them to a customer is beyond me. Or maybe they don't look in the boxes before they ship them?

SO maddening! If you dont return them, or have others that need cleaning, try Aldo 'Suds' it's the best cleaner for shoes Ive ever seen....comes in a small bottle with a built-in brush for about $6....just be sure and test in a small spot first (although Ive never had a problem with it staining) Good luck!

Rats! Sparky has a good point about how it might be a challenge to keep them fresh looking. They are super cute though!

How frustrating! Can you exchange them for another pair?

ETA: I had a similar experience earlier this season when I ordered a pair of nude suede sandals. One sandal had several rough/worn spots that were dingy. I returned them and didn't reorder as I decided they would be way too hard to keep looking nice, even if I did manage to get a clean and unworn pair.

Remember the perforated oxfords I bought earlier? Those were a half size too big, so I returned them (that company didn't have a 5.5). I finally saw them on sale from Nine West, the actual manufacturer, so I ordered them, and got them today.

And they fit well, and all, but the right one is distinctly DIRTY (see the streaks of dirt at the top of the shoe?). ew.
