I likely wouldn't wear it actually buckled. It is an exceedingly long belt. I probably could tie a bow! Lol. </p> <p>I probably wont take it to have it altered because of the pandemic. The buckle really just needs to be "stitched in the ditch" or whatever (not a sewist!) So it stays put. Or taken off, as Janet suggested. Maybe some day I will have that done and the hem taken up. Good idea to convert to pockets to also be side entry. It's not a deal breaker for me as I CAN stick hands in them and I typically wear gloves if I go out in the cold for any length of time.</p> <p>I didnt notice the sleeves being particularly long. This replaces a couple lighter weight spring and fall coats that were too small. It was about $150 on sale. The fabric is medium weight canvas twill. It is satin lined and snaps shut. It has silver hardware. It hits me about mid calf, I'm 5'6"</p> <p>I like the unusual color scheme and pleated sleeves. I dont love the snaps as I'm sure it will unsnap as i move around in it, from time to time. It's a bit longer than would be perfect, but the longer length will mean it's a bit warmer and more versatile.</p> <p>Two cons. The belt, which is EXTREMELY long and with a metal buckle feel almost like a weapon. The buckle on the end is not very high quality and is poorly attached so that the buckle slides around a lot and looks sloppy.<br /> The pockets, which are top entry, with snap closure flap, not very convenient for keeping hands warm. </p>
