I like it better untucked. For one, it looks like it accidentally got caught in the skirt waistband, and also I feel like the downward half circle of the darker sweater over the lighter skirt is not flattering to your small waist and flat stomach.
Very interesting insight about the bookending but also special feature shoes, they look great, and the dress looks great too.

If the dress is the length you like best, I'd say wear it, and don't mess with a good thing!

Thanks for the feedback, everyone! I will try out some different tucking options. (Firecracker, your instructions are very helpful!) The dress looks a tad longer in this photo than it does in real life because of the angle of my photo, but I will see what it looks like pinned up a tad. I generally like dresses and skirts at the knee, rather than above, but I am (slowly) getting less shy about that.

Beautiful shoes and semi tuck works better.

I think like Sharon and Donna have both mentioned. Try hemming the dress a little bit. It is super cute.

Agreed. The proportions are better with the top tucked or partially tucked.

Fab new sandals. Dress is very classic - not dated.

Agree with the semi tuck recommendations. Those are beautiful shoes! I think the dress is great on you and Sharan's suggestion of hemming a little. Maybe try pinning it up to see?

I like the proportions better on the second skirt outfit -- I'd probably use Firecrackers method and schooch the sweaterband up even further, so the proportion line ends up closer to your waist.

First, you look fantastic in that skirt outfit! I like it both ways, actually, but I think perhaps I do slightly prefer the semi-tuck proportion. I think it works with this sweater. Another thing to try is hiking the bottom band up a little and blousing the sweater over it. Easiest way to do it: fold up the band, and flip the band back and sweater back under, so that the wrong side of the band is again facing the skirt.

I love the new sandals, and I like the dress on you. The style still looks current. I think the length may be a little longer than what I've seen recently in wrap dresses. Perhaps shortening a couple of inches--at or above knee--would give make it seem fresh again to you?

#1-2: I wore the first outfit to work today (J Crew Tippi sweater, very old BR hand-me-down skirt). When I stopped to take this picture, I thought the proportions looked off. So I tried tucking the front.Do you agree that it looks better tucked? Does tucking work with this sort of knit? I felt self conscious about it, but I don't regularly semi tuck.

#3-4: Also, I received these Sofft Vanita sandals from Zappos today. They seem pretty comfy, and will work with a lot of my clothes. I have black hair, so black shoes are almost always a good bet on me, but the metallic strap adds a little character for summer here. I wanted to try them on with a dress, so I put on this very old BR wrap dress... then got distracted by the dress. I wonder if it looks dated? I think the wrap style is classic. I may just think it looks dated because I know how old it is. I haven't worn it in a while, but now that I've lost weight, it fits again. What are your thoughts?
