I think the top is very flattering on you—it shows off your curves without being body-con. Can you wear a long underwear top under it for winter if the top is too thin? Sometimes you can find silk undershirts that are paper thin that don't add bulk but provide extra warmth. I have a couple from WinterSilks and like them.</p> <p>As far as the pants length goes, in general I think the factoring in of the shoes applies mostly with bootcuts. It's nice to have the flared leg of the pant cover the shoe most of the way, so when you wear bootcuts, you need to know what height of heel you want to wear with them so that you can get the pants length right. But the pants you show here are more tapered at the bottom, so you won't be covering your shoes with them. They feel like a knit. I think the length is OK: I like them sort of slouchy like this--but if they look odd, let me know!</p> <p>The top is another matter. I quite liked it in the dressing room, but, now, here at home, it feels a bit thin--and maybe it doesn't stand far enough away from my curves to be all that flattering, iykwim?&nbsp;</p> <p>Insofar as my needs go, I have only one other bottom suitable for fall (straight leg dark wash&nbsp;jeans) and four turtle necks.
