I tried on the one with the pretty front again, and ended up spending a lot of time pulling the cuffs up a little, down a little, and twisting the arms to get the seams to lie right. Much too fussy. For the lantern sleeve one; yesterday I was wearing a different sweater with that same too-deep-a-Vneck "feature" and realized it is rather a pain. It's tricky to find a cami that is exactly the right neck height on me, and the sweater can never be worn without a layer under it so it's no good on a warm day. The big expanse of exposed neckline also I think isn't that flattering on me. It's not about modesty, it's about proportion, and even through traditional wisdom says v necks elongate the torso, on me they often seem to emphasize my short-waistlines. Elle, wearing a cami is definitely NOT a deal breaker for the second sweater, and Joy great idea to use a white cami. Aquamarine yes I think I'm ok with the sheerness of the first one, but I'll check, thanks for noting that. Columbine good comment about checking whether the first one will ride up with wear. (Anyone remembers the British sitcom from the 70's called "Are You Being Served"? "It will ride up with wear" was one of the lines the shop keepers said to customers all the time, as if it was a good thing, which it is not ) Thanks Angie and thanks for the name "lantern sleeves". Greyscale good question about fussiness of cuffs. I'll double check that. They do feel a little odd because I'm not used to this sleeve style but I could get used to it. I miss you all! Hopefully I'll be around more in the near future. I'd love to hear your collective wisdom about these two tops I found at Antropologie. I've been looking for spring and/or summer tops in light grey or light blue and they are proving HEWIs.  Both tops are sleeve silhouettes I don't normally wear so I'm looking for advice on whether they work on me, or not. I'm petite, curvy, and short-waisted, and tend to look best in silhouettes that are close to my actual body shape. 1&2 - sort of a batwing sleeve. This top might be a bit too small overall. The lavender lace overlay is much prettier in person that the find shows and even has a tiny bit of sparkle. 3&4 - not sure what to call these sleeves, but they are full/gathered at the cuff. Pardon the cleavage Kleenex, the neckline is WAY too low for me and I'd need a tank or cami under it :-) . Comments, suggestions welcome!
