I think the kind of occasions you’re wearing them are not a fashion show, you know? I still wear the 2004 short rain jacket I bought to go on a canoeing trip at times. Do they still spark joy or are you tired and want a change?</p> <p>If you do want to change I’d shop for the replacement before getting rid of workhorse items. Then when you shop ask yourself for the item you want to buy, do you love it more than the old item? If yes I’d buy it and put the old item in a holding zone to see if you’ll really wear the new item. Sometimes we have a piece for years because we just like it best. Both are veterans and that is putting it lightly.</p> <p>Time to move these two along and replace?</p> <p>The shortie is ExOficio which I reserve for casual walks and nature hikes.&nbsp; You might remember this one - I've have had it for +++++ years!.&nbsp; Outer fabric is 83 Nylon/17 Ploly.&nbsp; Interior shell is 100 Poly.&nbsp; Machine washable . I love all of the pockets this one has but this one does not provide much warmth so I always have to layer with sweater (and makes me look bulky?.&nbsp; Not water resistant.&nbsp; For some reason, I just still can't let it go.</p> <p>The longer one is super warm and even more casual.&nbsp; I wear it grocery shopping and that's about it. Its also an oldie.&nbsp; 70 Cotton/30Nylon. Lining is 100 cotton.&nbsp; Machine washable.&nbsp; I do love the toggle buttons,&nbsp; length and the interior of the sleeve is long enough to cover most of my hand.&nbsp; Not water resistant. Ive included a 2nd photo&nbsp; of this one for upclose of the fabric.</p> <p>I am clinging to both as they are still functional.&nbsp; &nbsp;Angie suggested, a long long long time ago, using the shortie for outdoorsy/hiking purposes only.&nbsp; The longer is too warm to wear hiking/walking.&nbsp; Both are olive in color.</p> <p></p> <p>Thanks for your feedback! </p>
