Great find, Ana! Love the ideas of cream, dark denim, or brown bottoms already posted. Also second Angie's suggestion of a warm red or coral top underneath for a pop of color.

Gorgeous jacket! I’d keep the sleeve length as is.

I like the idea of your greyhound T underneath (I think I suggested that look when you purchased the T). I like the look of a layered T under a tailored jacket, or waistcoat. It’s when basic or slogan T’s are worn on their own by older women that I protest. This look could work with Converse too.

I’d also like the jacket with faded jeans, a coral top and cream shoes. Experiment and show us!

I love the idea of mixing textures but keeping the overall lightness and warmth. I agree, plain top, pearls, your idea of cream bottoms is a great one. Robins egg blue would be a great compliment , however probably too spring. Maybe come kind of warm or cool red? I am think of accesssories. You look great, love the hair! It is so feminine!

Love the jacket on you and I like the idea of shortening the sleeves a bit. Have you tried wearing it with grey? I could see it with grey jeans or a charcoal pencil skirt.
Also, thinking of Angie's post on neutrals and texture, that jacket really has texture. You could go monochromatic with camel and creme shades.

Great find Ana! It looks really good on you. I really like your cream jeans suggestions. I also think that you could wear it with dark wash jeans or a black pencil skirt. I also would keep the top underneath simple to focus attention on the beautiful jacket. Sleeve length looks good to me.

Thanks for the ideas, Shiny! I wasn't sure if it would go with dark denim since it's so light. I was wondering--what do you think about the sleeve length? You're very good at fit and proportion. I'm thinking they are a bit too long, and would be more flattering if it hit on the widest part of my lower arm, closer to the elbow.

GORGEOUS. This is the Chanel jacket you were looking for, no? Love the color. I like the cream jean idea, dark wash jeans would work great too.

I'd have to think about it but I'm leaning towards keeping the top underneath simple, since the jacket is such a statement on it's own. I like what you have with it - simplistic. Just toss on a long strand of pearls, or a statement necklace of chunky pearls.

You could also go funky with this (for casual saturday) and wear it open with a clever statement tee underneath ... the kind Angie hates, hee hee... yes, the kind teens tend to wear (I'm thinking of my DD's recycle-logo tee, or her "don't stick your head in the microwave" tee... silly, yeah... but it could be a cute look for a weekend day shopping or playing!

Hi Everyone!

I posted this on another thread, but wanted to start a new thread for it because I could definitely use all of your (all yall's) suggestions.

Saturday was my birthday, and I hit some thrift stores and a resale shop, where I found this tweed jacket, which Brendan bought for me:

http://i66.photobucket.com/alb.....1007-1.jpg

(sorry for all the junk around, we were cleaning out closets and things). I stopped looking for a tweedy jacket, and then one just appeared!

Normally that color would wash me out, but I think it's kind of different and warm--it matches my hair, lol. I think the texture keeps it from just making me disappear. It's like a butterscotch bouclé and has some sleeve hair and 3/4 sleeves, just like I wanted. It also has a V neck instead of the more traditional round neck, which I think we all agreed made me look matronly. I might get the sleeves taken in or shortened as well, but I haven't played with how that would look yet.

I'm still figuring out what to wear it with, and this is where I could use some suggestions. I want to keep the look really fresh and kind of edgy. Cream skinny jeans instantly popped to mind (I'm determined to find or make some), with caramel colored boots, but is there anything else? What blouses/tops could I wear underneath it?

Thanks everyone!
