Sorry to hear about the coffee catastrophe and I hope you got to drink a little bit of it. You can do no wrong in neutrals and always look so smart and casual. I adore your inspiration pieces, Denise, and really like the blue IRO one.

What I notice about the blouse is the fact that your shoulders balance your thighs beautifully -- proportions look good! Thighs can be curvy and their owner can still appear slender and fab!

I love the blue jacket, too, and the first one in Angie's links!

I favour the fringey jacket or the cream Mira jacket (lovely neckline) but I think they all would work well on you. I also really like Angie's first and last picks.
And another vote for having a go at dyeing the stained jacket. I have dyed about a dozen wardrobe items this summer as a DIY project. This included a free people tee that looked like it had coffee stains on it. (It was actually the original pattern - I think the free people designers were having a laugh.) I dyed it dark green and all the "coffee stains" are now gone.

I hope rabbit's trick works for the stain on the old one, though. It looks fab on you. And nothing wrong with your hips. You are slender with curves.

What is the material of your white jacket? I'd try oxiclean soaking and cold hand washing (or the handwash machine cycle) first if it would otherwise be a lost cause. http://www.ehow.com/how_599665.....shirt.html

Of possible replacements I like the white(s) and blue you picked and Angie's dark blue. Anna has a good point about the tan jacket though, and it would look good with your hair and boots.

I don't like thr white one as much because of the neck area.

I love Angie's picks. I like the olive green one too. Given that the jacket isn't lined I would try hand washing the jacket in warm water to see if the coffee will come out. In my experience this gets out more stains than dry-cleaning ever does.

Yes I think it would be worth trying to dye, given the texture if it is uneven that will not matter. You could go coffee brown or blue or dark pink......if it is stained and unworn you have nothing to lose.

Of these ones I like the Agnette in the tan or the first white IRO jacket....but I am sure you could wear them all brilliantly.

I love the blue one for you. Bummer about the stain on the current one, because it's a great jacket for a casual tweed look!

I hear you about this kind of issue on shirts with hems that call attention to that area, but in all honesty, I don't notice any thigh issues on you! Even though that is my personal body bugaboo (I know I have more pronounced outer thigh issues than you though). I usually end up semi-tucking shirts that do this.

Eta: I love IRO jackets (my cobalt leather moto is by them) but I hate how they have reworked their sizing in the last few years. Last time I tried one of their jackets, I could barely fit it over my upper arms, and I had to size up from what my size had been before. Grrrr.

Viva you are so funny. I don't even wear the jacket that often but when I do it's for the "fancy" occasions in my life like going to the dentist. And coffee is essential prior to the dentist, who doesn't need drugs before the dentist.

My IRO jacket is great quality, I hope that's still true of the brand. It's also a classic style and hasn't dated. I got mine used it is probably more than 3 years old. So I recommend in spite of the high price. Mine is not lined but not a problem, at all, it gives the jacket a soft look.

I am drawn to the IRO "Azure." I love the longer, leaner cut of this one compared to the boxier styles -- but that's a personal preference. I also really love the fringe. I'd love to get that one myself.

Anna I love both of the IRO jacket colors! The blue looks so denim-friendly and thus wearable. The tan/khaki looks coffee stains friendly. I'm in a quandary. I've decided Spring is a really good time for me to shop because most Spring colors work on me. Compared to Winter and Fall at least. The Rick Owens jacket is from his Spring 2014 collection. I've added a few pieces since November, a dress and a body suit, that match the jacket. All purchased via MyHabit or eBay (there are sellers in Italy who list his stuff -- terrible/no communication but good quality merchandise).

I like the blue colored iro one, probably because it looks like denim & that's my current focus.
2nd choice is the tan color, I think it'd work with your environment. Of course it depends on how that color looks on you. If it similar to the Rick Owens when I met you for dinner here, then you're good.
Actually the more that I think about the tan for you.

Here's my version of the Spring tweed jacket. I've had this IRO jacket for 3 years, and pull it out every Spring. This year, I spilled a huge amount of coffee on the left side. The dry cleaner was not able to get it all out, and there are three (not terribly dramatic) stains on the front. I kind of feel like I ruined this jacket due to my morning caffeine addiction. So now I need a new one right? The first one is fairly close except they've cropped the style a bit.

Jacket: IRO (similar one in Finds)
Jeans: Rag & Bone
Booties: Acne
Blouse: Ro & De (a Rack brand).

The blouse cuts in to call direct attention to my big & curvy upper thighs. I'm stuck between hate and embrace on this top due to what it does for my thighs...

Thanks for looking!
