Good question Alana. I would really say 3 of them get significant use. The 4th is relevant because I can wear it when I visit my DD at college. I fit right in because it's the right color. She wanted me to keep it. I think it's a good place to do an update because I like turtlenecks so much, and I wear them frequently. If it' turns out that these looks are trendy, I would get my money's worth.

Angie, I agree, only one way to know

JAileen, I haven't seen the Vince in person. I have to order it and see for myself. I can't order it for a few weeks though. I have to wait until September 26th because of a no spend agreement with my daughter.

Deb, do you mean the J Crew turtle neck in the henna melange color? That's a nice sweater. I tried one on in size small and the shoulders didn't fit right. I may have to try the medium. It's fairly classic in terms of design and I already have 4 classic turtleneck sweaters. I am looking for something with a little more design interest, even if it is a simple effect like longer looser fit, or the herringbone pattern in the Vince sweater.

Angie, I also love turtle necks, but have a hard time finding them with a fit that I like. I clearly have the long neck that goes well with wearing this neckline! It appears that they make the equipment turtleneck in a heather gray. I wonder if that color would be good? It looks like a medium gray, and not as light as the Vince.

I love a cashmere turtle neck in winter too....my warmest knitwear. Love the colour of the Equipment one above and I imagine that would suit you if you like wearing olive and rust. I just had a quick look at the J Crew website and there is a rust coloured one there that may interest you.

I am Queen Turtleneck - my favourite neckline. A fine gauge black turtleneck in a dressy fabrication is my wardrobe essential.

I've seen both T-necks in person. I prefer the colour of the Vince, but the style of the Equipment.

Tanya, thanks for posting additional colors of the DVF sweater!

In terms of color, if I could have any I would want a soft green, olive or a soft rust. I haven't seen any in those colors that I like. From these, the best colors for my skin tone are the Equipment and the Vince. I really like the orchid color, I wonder if that would be too cool for me. I also like the cobalt better than the ink.

Jeanie, I agree with you about the Equipment turtle being one that could be layered under something. I bought an Equipment cashmere boyfriend sweater last year and it is thinner than my other sweaters. It is still very nice. I wore it repeatedly because it looked great with one of my favorite scarves.

I like how the DVF and Equipment have a bit of drape to them which seems more modern. It looks like the Equipment one could be layered under a moto. Maybe you can try them and take pics.

I am a big fan of turtlenecks myself and am hoping to add a couple of new ones for the upcoming winter. And I have also had my eye on the DVF Ahiga.
I have seen it in different colors on different sites, including grey, cobalt, and, my personal favorite, orchid :) I like the Vince turtleneck as well. What color are you hoping for?

As part of my No Spend September I am considering what I need and want in my closet, and updating one turtleneck is on the list. I don't have too many of these, but they are all pretty much the same classic design. It would be nice to update with a modern style or maybe a pattern. . Here are a few I found.

I am unsure about the color of the DVF, but I like the style the best. Dark blue may not be a great choice. Next comes the Vince and last the Equipment turtleneck.

No spending until September 26th! I have time to look and dream.
