The first one looks great, but steer clear of the second style. You need a pencil skirt that flows SRAIGHT from the hip down when you’re pear shaped – that one tapers in. Hope that make sense. I have a style similar the pencil skirt from the second link. It is a check fabric with black and teal. I loved the skirt when I purchased it but I now think that the check with the pleads make it a very eye catching skirt especially in the back. So the conservative in me stopped wearing it for a while. Then I found the perfect cardigan top for it. It is shorter in the front showing the nice bow and longer in the back nicely hiding the area that I didn't want to emphasize. I can only wear it with high heels on occasion. So even if you're pear shaped, it might look good with the right top. Hope this helps.
