Thank you, Debra!
Parkmommychic and Sveta, thanks for your wide-leg love!
Gigi, I love mustard green. And on the pants, I have the size down already from pre-pregnancy, so I'm just waiting to fit back into them.

Lovely, lovely! You have picked wonderful colors. You look especially good in the greeny-mustardy color, whatever it's called. (Color names are not my strong suit.)

On the pants, they don't look bad, but they are just unexciting now that they are a little large on you. Do you think a tailor could take them in?

Aww: sounds like a fabulous family. And all dressed in their most flattering colours. I'm gently edging my niece towards wearing bright colours, which is pretty easy considering kid wear these days! She just told me a couple weeks ago that her new favourite colour is black (before that it was bright blue). Luckily, she's happy with black combined with bright colours. I think she's entered the stage where she wants to be grown up, and in her mind black is more grown up.

I was thinking my dad when I said I only volunteer information when asked: I'm pretty sure he's a soft autumn but he wears all kinds of colours and seems happy, so I keep my mouth shut except for effusive praise when he wears his best colours. My sister's really tricky, but we had a 'draping' session (her suggestion), and I'm pretty sure true summer fits best, which made her happy. It's funny, because my parents, my sister, and I all look very much alike colouring-wise, but none of us are in the same season. Makes shopping together easy, since we're not fighting over the same thing! ;)

And now I will end my colour geekery for the day.

I like all of these and think everything looks like it fits well. I don't notice any fit problems in the photos although it may be obvious to you while wearing them. The color of both sweaters looks great on you.

Oops, sorry - I knew I was missing a summer season. My husband's soft, not true. I have 2 girls, a light summer and a mini-me (warm autumn). And I don't tell family members either, at least in-laws, though I blab away to my (former) immediate family, husband, and children. I'm indoctrinating the oldest quite well; she picks purples and picks as her favorites right off the bat. ;)

That sounds like a lot of fun. I love deciding what colours look best on friends & family too, but only share the information if they ask. lol I'm a (self-diagnosed) soft summer rather than true; it's very easy for me to get overwhelmed with saturation, and I can tolerate more warmth (in fact, for quite awhile I wondered if I was a soft autumn instead; I think I'm pretty close to the line but grey works better than tan and the pretty autumn yellows are my downfall). And I've yet to put on any colour and think 'nope, this is too muted.'

My mom's a spring (light spring, I'm fairly sure): they're such pretty, cheerful colours. Perfect for a baby! I can't quite tell: do you have 1 girl or 2? I love kids, although I don't have any.

JulieJohn, that is indeed a buckle. Thank you for your kind & thoughtful words!

Suz, thanks for weighing in. I felt great despite the mirror because I was belting and (sort of) tucking again. :)

Ceit, thank you! You'll see more of me in trousers come spring/warm weather as I work out how to wear the corduroys to my satisfaction (belting, tucking, semi-tucking, untucked).

E, nice to see you, too! I love reading your comments. I'm going to get a bunch of Jane Eyre movies from the library this week since I haven't seen all the versions. Thank you for your comments on fit.

And yes, I have indeed found baby's season - or pretty nearly. I love figuring out friends'/family members' seasons, which some graciously put up with. I hauled out his sister's clothes, which are light summer & warm autumn, along with daddy's soft summer and random winter/spring girl clothes. It was a lot of fun "draping" him - plop big clothes over tiny baby, lean back, hmm, throw into bad-tolerable-he looks great piles. Hehe. Can't tell I'm obsessed with seasons. He's either soft summer like daddy or warm spring (blue eyes, fair complexion, red toned light brown hair). I'm leaning toward spring, unusual for a boy - bright purple/navy looked great, as did light & medium gray. Daddy's shades (yours) were decent. I'll have fun trying to find nice colors for him in the boy's section (and no doubt get laughed at a lot by family)!

2 has a hint of Jane Eyre that I cannot resist! Gah! So perfect. :)

1 doesn't look too big, just like they have a fluid fit. You look so trim in 3/4! Switching into 5, I can see by comparison that the skirt fit is probably better than the corduroys. But just looking at the corduroys on their own, they look good. Definitely good enough to keep wearing, especially with your lovely styling!

6 is just beautiful too: love the buckle and that cowl framing your face, and of course I love the plaid skirt.

So in conclusion, another week of great outfits! I would expect nothing less. (Have you established baby's season yet? j/k My niece is definitely a bright, and I'm pretty sure she's a bright spring, but she's almost 8, so a bit more to work with. hehe)

Ooh - I love #1 in particular. Your gorgeous curls work beautifully with the tone of the sweater and the wide leg jeans. They don't look too big in the picture but I know that sometimes the feeling is more important.

I really like these looks. You look excellent in the cowl necklines, and do I detect a buckle at the neck in #6? What a fun detail!

I must gush about #2 though, because that adorable tie at the neck is just made for you.

Now to the pants: I think they look fine, not too big in the legs, and great color for you. Smile, you have some good looks here!

I tried some semi-tucking so that I could wear a belt (typical style) with my bit of tummy (post-baby). The denim trousers are a size up for losing-weight-waist, so too loose in the leg. I'm not sure that the brown ones look very flattering either - rise, bigger tummy, semi-tuck, something. Anyway...thanks for looking!
