I think it's multiple issues. I don't like tucking straight legs as they make my legs look bizarrely wide and straight from the knee down. My pants are not fitted at the knee and they are knit which just looks sloppy when they bunch. Angie, your pants are woven so they probably look better. I don't like ponte pants based on this experience. They have been annoying to find and even more annoying to fit. Just too stretchy and unstructured. I wish I could have bought the $90 banana republic ones as these are looking more and more hopeless.

I also measured them and my incompetent tailor hemmed them to 29" which is way too short :(. I'm going to wash them tonight an try stretching them a bit but if that doesn't work, I'll have to sell them. I have to be able to wear them SOMEHOW! Either with boots or other shoes.

I can't remember if I tried these stirrup accessories in the 90's or not. But that's good to know about the buttons rubbing your ankle bone!

Oh AJ, I remember having a detachable stirrup on my trousers in the early nineties, they had a little button to hold the stirrup in place which would rub my ankle bone like crazy. Not Fab.

You do seem to have a few doubts about the trousers Maya, I hope you can figure them out.

I tuck into my short boots - not knee-high, because mine are straight leg. I like skinny for knee-high tucking.

What kind of boots are you tucking into? I've done mine with my Star Ling boots and I think it works (no bunching) because the boots are loose and slouchy. Have not tried with knee-high boots; not sure I want to...

Hmm, that doesn't sound good (for me, that is). How do they fit at the thigh Khris? Like skinny jeans?

Are you guys able to do this? I tried it and I couldn't help but feel that it didn't look good. It just seemed like the fabric was bunching and sloppy due to a combination of a straight leg and the knit fabric. Perhaps it would have worked if they were more tapered, but I have also been suspicious that maybe I needed a 2 instead of a 4. I was just afraid that in a knit, a 2 would seem too skin tight but I never got a chance to try because the pants weren't available in a 2 anywhere.

If those of you with ponte pants are able to tuck, that will confirm my suspicions. This is just one of several doubts I am having about these pants...sigh...
