I like that the denim jacket really finishes off the look. You look great!

I've always had a hard time with button down shirts/blouses. I can never seem to find one that won't gape open at the chest. And if I go up a size, I feel like I'm wearing a tent.

Of course! My button downs are less snug and often have stretch. I guess that helps.

It is so disappointing that this is a max 4-6 hours outfit. Looks gorgeous on you and I love the colour combination.

Thank you everybody:-).
I felt sassy all day-and especially loved the colour combo me, too-, but was wrinckled like crazy at the end of the day...so this is maximum a 4-6 hours outfit:-((.

Texstyle:- I'm in the EU, and don't have the shops you mention:-(((.
Suz: -Oh, well-I guess it has to be(eurochic)- I'm european actually:-)).
Angie:- I feel somehow much more restricted in a crisp button down:. running errands like crazy and driving a car regularry...can this be accepted as an excuse?

Lyn, I absolutely love this on you! The brown accents bring the look right into fall, while keeping it fresh for the reality of a still-warm day. This very American preppy look is somehow Euro-chic on you, and I think the accessories are what make it. Also, I like the buttons on the shirt - they give it a bit of a twist. Great outfit!

I love your outfit! Actually I like the tan purse with it. If I wanted to carry a coral purse I might have changed to a multicolor belt, such as striped or tribal-like (is that even a word?).

I think this works very nicely and I really like the outfit. I have recently been wearing more button downs too. Do you buy "talls"? I buy regulars at jcrew that are usually pretty long but they do run slim so I size up a bit. Some I buy at other places (Kohls, Gap, Eddie Bauer) don't seem to be as long.

Couple of days ago I went shopping with my DD, and bought her a light blue casual feel, soft cotton buttond down, with blue cord patches on the elbows by H&M. I loved it so much on her, that I had to buy it for myself, too.:-))

Not much fan of a button downs in general, but I do have one crispier light blue button down from last fall, that has dark brown elbow patches. This wasn't worn a lot as I've found it was somehow almost too crisp for my busty self, if you know what I mean.

The new one is even more lighter in colour and much softer, and so- a bit more casual, too.

I just didn't realise this will be (again) too short for pants-I have a long torso and it's a pain to find long enough tops for pants to me.
So I was a bit dissapointed (again), but I really wanted to make work this shirt for work(which is a bit of creative business casual here).
I struggled a lot in the morning and, I haven't done a tuck in for ages:-)), but finally came up with this.

What do you think?

-white denim pencil skirt
-light blue button down
-pumkin wedges and belt (for feeling the fall:-))
-topped with a light wash blue denim jacket

I have new specs, too- which have a bit of green in them on sides, so tought coral bag will be too much of a colour, and went with my beige one, but am now bit sorry about that as I see in the pictfiesI could have do it better with the red one.(or not?)
(pls. excuse lack of hair combing and make up, as this is always last thing I do before leaving:-))

Thanx for your comments! :-)

PS.I opened the front door to have some natural light in the picties, does it show?
