The VC tube skirts are fantastic. (I own four.) I am a curvy hipped hourglass and they are very figure flattering for me, so I imagine they would also work very well for you. Regarding tops -- I wear mine with drapey tunics, peplum tops, asymmetrical tops and fluid fit high-low tees.

I don't have the ruched one, but I have two of the regular VC tube skirts, and I think they are great for pears. The double layered construction is genius and really reduces clinging. I think they are also cut to be very pear friendly with some extra room in the hips (at least in straight sizes, I assume that plus would be the same). I took a size smaller than I usually do in slim skirts and it's STILL less clingy/bodycon than my other non-VC tube skirt.

I have some Vince Camuto tube skirts that I love, with the double layer construction. I love the two layers. Minimizes the squeezy effect. I'd give it a go!

I have a couple of VC tube skirts but not the ruched ones. I am pear/spoon shaped with heavy thighs and I hate anything too clingy/bodycon. I sized up on my skirts and then had Nordies take in the waist; alterations are effectively free if the purchase was made with a Nordies card. They give you Rewards credit on the amount.

I find drapey tops, maybe with a semi-tuck, works the best. Or maybe a top with an asymmetrical or sharkbite hem. With one skirt, I can wear a more fitted top like a tank top and then my knit obi belt. My other skirt really shows my tummy for some reason so I don't tuck with that one.

A lot of folks on the Forum bought these tube skirts in the last year or three so you could probably run a search on *VC tube skirt*, *tube skirt*, or maybe even just *tube* and it would pop up with a lot of WIWs to give you ideas.

I'd like to add some summer skirts and am thinking about this one with the goal of being able to wear it at work and as smart casual. I've usually worn circle or other flowy skirts in the past few years. I'm a size 16 US and a little over 5 feet tall (and I never wear heels), so I'm a little worried I'll feel awkward if it's too clingy.

What do you think: is this type of skirt a flattering for my shape? If yes, how would or do you style it?

Thanks for any thoughts/ideas/input!
