I want to protect those booties from being purged! They're SO fab and seem to be really *you*. Have you tried wearing them in outfits that you would have used your Dansko's? I know you were th inking a little about adding a black bootie, but can't these be used in those cases?

ETA: I know they're not 'sleek' but they still might fill the void. . .

I love those booties! I'd wear them with everything! Even with bootcuts or under jeans. If the fringe doesn't show, the details of the pointy toe and the strap under the sole peaking out from your jeans are really fab. Wear them everyday!

I love those booties!!!!!!!! Who knew you even *had* those?! I would think they would be so versatile, especially in the summer. I would wear them with shorts, skirts, dresses, and bare legs. They could be very casual (e.g., with cutoffs and a T) or dressier (e.g., a pencil skirt and silk top). In cooler weather I would wear them with dresses and tights, or skirts, jackets, and tights. They could easily be worn with skinnies tucked into them. They are fabulous!

Elizabeth, you're right about the color, though that's not so much what's stopped me as sheer laziness in styling. Thanks for the color tips as I tend to be really uninspired that way.

I am starting a new pile of "find a way to wear these or consign/donate" and these booties are going into that pile. It's the final round of purging for me from this endless wardrobe rehaul - the things I either love but can't figure out or paid a lot for and can't bear the waste.

Cue Vanessa Williams: "You went and saved the best for last...."

Bright greens are hard to style. They only really go with gray, black and white, or various shades of blue denim. Which is what you have in that picture, and it looks fabulous, I must say. (I should mention that I'm really picky about what colours "go" with others -- many of you may strongly disagree with me here). I'd wear it just like that all the time, or else with gray plaid skinnies (cause we all have a pair of those in our closet, right? Right?) or something else with a black/white or gray pattern on the bottom. Also I think a light heather gray tee shirt would look great under the blazer. Darker denim jeans would work too.

I'd stay away from that colour green with plain black, as well as any shade of pink, purple, orange, brown, or red. Your best bet might actually be to experiment with neutral patterns.

I can't think of anything for the boots, if you want the whole boot to show, except to stuff your skinnies into them. The opening might be too wide to wear them with tights and a skirt (although a picture would help). They would look fabulous under bootcuts, and while it's true that most of the boot is covered while you're assessing yourself in front of the mirror, people would still see the fringe when you sit or walk.

I bought a lime green, almost neon, linen sweater this year and was also finding it a challenge to wear. If I put it on with any neutral, except white, I felt I ought to hand out sunglasses to anyone who saw me in it.

Oddly enough, though, when I put it on with an blue/white ikat print skirt, it looked great. The print seemed to calm the sweater down. It also looked quite good with my orange skirt with white accessories. Maybe someone who understands color theory better than I do can tell me why pairing a bright with a bright ended up looking less intense than trying to "tone" the bright down by pairing it with neutrals.

Lime blazer: I'd try a monochromatic look underneath. Easy pairings are black top+bottom, white top+bottom, beige/nude/tan top+bottom, grey top+bottom.

Boots: I think these would look fantastic with leggings or tights. I don't recall you wearing too many dresses or skirts, but I think if you do, these would be a good pair of boots to try them with!

I like Anna's idea of wearing those booties with a dress. Then they will be displayed and they will toughen up the dress at the same time. I like them with the bf jeans, too, but the cuff does draw the eye away from them a tad more than bare legs or hose would. I might also switch out the printed top for a solid t-shirt to go with the boots.

Anna, I agree and I switched them out. I really want to figure out a way to wear them though. Leggings sound good but I don't wear leggings as pants, and my skinnies are all too bunchy to tuck.

This Gap blazer doesn't get nearly enough action from me. And these fringed ankle boots were my first purchase from All Saints. They now come with a chunky heel, but I've always struggled with styling them as flats, though I adore the fringey cowboy punk style of them. If the fringe doesn't show, the whole point is kind of lost...

Help! Any thoughts or suggestions? Worn with BF jeans and old fox-print top from F21.
