This would create a more harmonious silhouette. If the top is lighter value, the jacket still can be dark if you have dark shoes. I would also like to se a more waist-defining look. To me, a pencil skirt is about the feminine silhouette, and then the waist should be focused more, especially when you have a beautiful narrow waist like you do. Try tucking or belting the top. I would keep mine if it was not too tight in the hips. I think it has great opportunities for styling with solid ti=ops and jackets and very different from your other skirts. As far as the grey boots with it, I do like how it looks. You need to make the top a bit lighter if you want to make the look more harmonious. Pop a yellow top and you are in business. </p> <p>I do not like the wedges but that style of shoe is not really my cuppa. I used to have similar shoes and gave them all away. I figured that it would be a nice way to complement some black jackets that I am having trouble styling but I am not sure how much I like it.</p> <p>I also have the Halogen seamed skirt in grey (shown in #2) and purple and the JCrew denim skirt so I am trying to figure out if the chevron skirt is different enough to justify keeping. I am also still on the fence with the black Cole Haan Air Monica wedges (shown in #1, 2 and 4) - I would like to get a nice pair or black pumps or wedges in addition to the grey Air Tali wedge (in #3) but I am not sure these shoes are "it". What do you think? </p>
