Dear Krish, before commenting on the items may I ask you if perhaps you are buying things for a bigger body that you DON'T have?As in, instead of buying things to show of your great figure you are trying to buy things to hide the things that you might perceive as not so good?
Because you have nothing to hide here, you have a great waist, great legs, and you can be proud of them.

The leather skirt is at the perfect lenght now.I would have a great time pairing it with turtlenecks during fall.

I like the red top but it seems a bit long to wear with skirts,I would prefer it with jeans or other kind of pants.

About the grey skirt I just have to say something, you are not that size.

I'm in agreement with many of the others. The red blouse is fab! The skirt isn't quite working at that length.

Thank you to all of you for your wisdom and frank feedback!

It is so helpful to me.

I will return the midi skirt. I could have it altered, but now, I am just looking for mew things and don't feel like going through the hassle. And I realize now it vaguely reminds me of my high school uniform skirt.

But I am keeping the red top! And I think this leather skirt will get more wear this year.

Lumpy? Frumpy? Not at all - in fact you have beautiful, delicate curves now! You look so fabulous with them too!!

I love the leather skirt and saw bj's comment about tucking. I found that tops can ride right up the smooth leather, so might as well try tucking Also, the blouse on the 2nd outfit might be a nice one to try with the leather skirt for the juxtapostiion of leather with feminine blouse.

I actually like the second outfit the way it is, but I'd probalby even like it more with the shortening suggestions others made. I guess I've realized that petites usually look best if skirts aren't as 'midi' as talls can get away with. But I still like it the way it is!!

Frumpy? FRUMPY?

No. You look curvalicious. As others have said, the red top looks like a keeper and it's a great idea to try tucking it into the skirt, which looks good - not too short at all with tights, I think, which in reality is how you will wear it, given our climate. The top should also look great untucked with jeans or other pants. I like the asymmetrical neckline.

I think the other skirt perhaps just doesn't fit right. It may in fact be too big, or slightly the wrong cut. I have found with midis that for me, it really helps if they are quite tapered at the bottom. If they even go straight down it seems to shorten me somehow and disguise my curves. I guess it is your call about whether it makes sense to taper it or wait until you find one that works a bit better.

ETA: so many typos in my posts! I type too quickly and the autocorrect makes false assumptions.

You don't look frumpy at all - our eyes really do deceive us when it comes to our own self-image! I love the red on you, and it looks great from the side view. Not loving the skirt as it is, but agree that shortening might do the trick. You look beautiful.

I do really understand your feelings of frumpiness based on small weight gain (which I only know about because I read it in your other thread). I really sympathize because I also have a small frame and a few pounds makes a huge difference in how I see my clothes fitting. So, with that said with lots of empathy, I will tell you the truth and you look fantastic and not the least bit frumpy. Agree with above about tucking the shirt and shortening the skirt a bit (but keeping it midi) but these are tweaks. You look gorgeous.

I think you should keep telling yourself "My mind is playing tricks on me right now, telling me I look frumpy, lumpy, and dowdy. I look healthy and sleek and gorgeous!"

I agree with BJ about tucking the floral shirt into the leather skirt. I think that will look fabulous. Also agree about shortening the plaid skirt a bit.

imo the second skirt is too long & needs tapering (that will always make you feel dowdy). I would also like to see the first blouse tucked as I think the elongation of your torso is making the proportions look off. I hope you don't mind me saying but I think your body looks amazing.

I like outfit 1/2. The midi length on the gray skirt isn't quite working for me on you. I think maybe if you styled it with a less blouson-y top, maybe a button up tucked in or a drapey knit, it would work, especially with a boot or bootie. But if it doesn't feel like you, maybe it should go back.

I love the red top on you! You look sexy and curvaceous in pics 1 and 2.
The gray skirt is not revealing your fabness - it seems too long to me. Perhaps shortened and styled with a different top it could be ok...but I'd have to see.

i think i'd like to see more of the leather skirt in 1/2, try tucking?

i do like the outfit in 3-5, but perhaps with a less dowdy shoe? the combo of the longer skirt and the covered up top with the low shoe height /blocky heel feels mumsy, which you are not!

I started changing my closet from summer to Fall and it has been trying, I am afraid I will need a lot of your help. Most things don't fit any more. I have a bag full of donations, another one for selling, and a bin full of "maybe one day" 's although I know I'll have to get rid of them too... just not now... I am already feeling so down from my changing body.

I am completely aware that my present weight is healthier. But what I don't get is why, when at a normal weight, must I look so frumpy, lumpy and not graceful from the face down. I look... dowdy. Yet this is not due to lack of working out! I hope this feeling is temporary, because it is so discouraging.

Anyway, after this purge, my closet was decimated. Plus, out of the few pieces that remained suitable, they had been picked for a body with no curves. Now that I have breast, and butt, what am I supposed to do with those? They fill out the clothes so differently.

So today I went to Winners in hope to find some new pieces in my size. I came home with some things, but I am not sure if they fit, if they look good or terrible. I don't know anything any more.

Her we go:

Pics 1-2. Red print top with studs. I am wearing it with one of the last piece of clothes that still fitted me, my leather black skirt which used to be too big and hung on my hips. Now, the skirt's waist sits way high, shortening its length quite a lot. Please excuse the craze look in the face.
Keep or return?

Pics 3-5. Gray skirt. In the pic I quickly styled it with the only blue blouse I now have, so I would have to shop for a top to match it. I think it is a bit too big - or is it that I've grown so used to the rest of my clothes feeling too snug that I don't know what normal feels like any more? I may have to have it taken in at the sides.
Do you think it should also be shorten?
Keep or return?

More to come...
