I think those look really good on you. I only have 1 experience with Target jeans; unfortunately the pair I bought had a really foul smell that I just could not wash out. But other then that I rather liked the fit, though they did bag out a bit. My fave BF jeans are Kut that I bought 3 yrs ago. I think the style is called Catherine.

Deborah - thanks. They are around $30. And I understand how outside of the US it would seem cheap, but here there are other options that are similar quality but less expensive (like Old Navy mentioned above), and you can also do better on sale in mid-range stores (Gap, Loft etc). I'm not American and somebody will correct me if I'm wrong, but Target is so popular because it's so ubiquitous, and it's often the "better" option in the areas where there are few options available (although of course with the spread of online shopping it's all changing).

Well they are might not create the BF look but they do look good on you. And I love your uniform style:) I find Australian Target produces some very good jeans. I have bootcuts from Target and a pair of jeggings, both have been staples in my wardrobe. Out of interest, how much were the jeans?

Angie - lol! I might reconsider when (if) they go on sale.
Thistle - I did actually try Kut cords (didn't work out). Haven't tried their denim, thx for the suggestion.

Oh obviously, they don't look like BF! I was hoping to create that look by upsizing a bit on straight jeans, but frankly this particular model is more skinny than straight, and super stretchy.

Cute jeans on you, but I'm with Rachy they don't look like BF jeans to me (they look like straight legs). Personally I like my BF jeans without any stretch, but I know I'm in the minority in that. If you like the more fitted BF jean look, it's also worth trying upsized low- or no-stretch relaxed straight leg jeans in addition to those labeled as boyfriend.

rachelyou - thx. I agree that they are not exactly cheap and I can probably do better elsewhere.
Laura - I think those were Mossimo for Target? Not sure, but definitely something starting with "M". Straight cut (I didn't notice any other options besides bootcut). And thanks for mentioning ON. I thought they cater more to curvier body types but on a quest for bf look it might be not such a bad thing.

I've had pretty good luck with Target jeans. Were these the Merona brand? And which cut, do you know? They have 6, I think it is, 'fits' although not all of them come in every shade and length. If anything was half-way passable, keep an eye out for the sales racks in a month or so, and they may be discounted.

Have you tried Old Navy? In my opinion they've got more variety than Gap these days, and the quality is similar while the price is lower.

I have also been on a boyfriend-jeans-seeking saga, and I'm starting to think that anything with spandex just isn't going to give me the boyfriend-y look. I even tried on some actual men's jeans at Kohl's around the holidays, and a couple of those came close, belted, but not perfect enough to pull the trigger.

You look pretty darn cute, but definitely not bf jeans.

When Target was doing their GO international thing, I really loved it. I find the quality has really dropped while the prices have risen. My best jeans are still Target buys from yesteryear, tho.

If anybody remembers my Gap boyfriend jeans fiasco - I'm still searching for some bf looks (bf, ex-bf, or gf, not sure anymore how it's called nowadays :)). Was running errands at Target during lunch break and decided to try their straight light-wash straight jeans. Now - I'm not a Target clothes shopper at all (tried it at some point for my girls, found the quality seriously lacking and never went back), so didn't know anything about the sizing etc. I tried the pants in two sizes: 0R (photos 1 and 2) and 2S (photos 3 and 4). They didn't have 2R available.
First impression - fabric is very stretchy. Too stretchy. So the idea of oversizing a bit to create that bf look failed right there.
Size wise, I probably ended up being the sizes, as 0 looks slightly too tight, while 2 is *slightly* too large. Although as I mentioned, the material is so stretchy that there is barely any difference.
Now - IF they were on deep discount AND not so stretchy.. I would consider.
Quest continues. :)
PS. Pic #5 is what I was actually wearing. It's sort of uniform of mine (minus the boots - I would normally wear higher heel booties but it's snowing again) so not WIW worthy.
