You look fabulous! I love the denim on denim and I don't think the pockets are too small at all. Love your scarf outfit. Try misting water into a cloud and walking through it for static. Sounds like your indoor air is already very dry. :/ The bookending boots are quite fine on you m'lady!

Sarah, these are fabulous outfits on you, one and all! My faves are the jacket outfit (both ways - it's gorgeous on you, as I knew it would be), the denim outfit (pockets on that are FINE IRL, I'm certain; I agree that the photo is taken a bit from below so highlights something that would not be as evident to anyone looking at you straight on) and the one with the little scarf - it's brilliant!

I hope the dryer sheet works for the static. I have no solution myself to that except sometimes when it happens I dab myself with a bit of water to bring it down...sort of wet my hands and wipe! But that's not very elegant, I admit.

Sarah, I have to confess I was unsure of that jacket but seeing it in action I think its wonderful on you. Love the color. Today's outfit is simple, streamlined and professional, perfect for giving he guest lecture.

#2 is lovely. I like subtlety:)

#3 is gorgeous and reminding me a little of one of Dianthus' outfits. That color is devine on you.

#4 is gorgeous. Love the silhouette and the belt and the denim on denim:) I only really noticed the pockets after I read your post. I like the shirt. Keep until you find your perfect one. Those jeans make you look SOOO tall.

And on another note, I think you can so rock a big scarf

Sarah you look amazing in all of these, Wow! The new tweed jacket looks great, and the colors sound even better (what a fun mix). I like it both collar up and collar down, but prefer it up. #2 totally works to my eye, that color palette is beautiful. I also quite like the denim-on-denim look; I wonder if the pockets are looking odd because of the camera angle?

You look so great in the jacket, and I was a bit of a doubter. I will say I did a double take on the nude boots, thinking you were in clams at first! No suggestions for the staticky shirt - is is silk?

All outfits are outstanding - but my favourite is 2! Love those pants on you! You look tall, relaxed, put together, infinitely chic.

About the blouse: rub it with fabric softener sheets, rub it again during the course of the day.

About the shirt: before you mentioned the pockets, I didn't notice them, but after, it's all I saw. If you're not comfortable, pass it down.

Cheryl, Carole, Sinead, Serah, Kelly, San, Lisa, Becky, and Biscuit, thanks!

Joy, Scarlet, and Glory, thanks, and I will try some of those static-eliminating tricks and report back.

Isis- I'm glad you like the bookending : ) I think it may be the single most important things I've learned at YLF! And Angie has now crowned me Queen Bookending, so I guess I've finally figured it out.

Makrame - I've started using the color wheel to come up with color combinations I wouldn't have thought of myself - I've been into "triangular" combos lately.

Jules - LOL. When I use the dining room table as tripod, it does always give me a bit odd proportions. Maybe I need to improve my camera work : )

Angie, I will have to change your title, now that I know that bulldogs are on the dumb side. YOU are certainly sharp as a tack, so we'll have just have to stick with your other stubbornness-denoting titles that also allow for keen intelligence ; ). 11 out of 10 on ALL of them? I can't believe it! Hooray! Thanks : ) I realize that bad fit was a major problem for me before YLF - I'm so glad that I've finally started to figure out how to judge good fit (and that I have the forum to help me when I can't).

Sarah, I just LOVE the way you wear clothes, and your style. You also have great fashion flair. I really missed your outfits!

I have no suggestions for the static scarf, but just wanted to add that you ALWAYS look amazing. Your clothes fit very well, the proportions are spot on, and you have an effortless attitude about them. This makes you even more stylish!

All outfits are an 11 out of 10 - so k-word worthy to my eye! WOW! That jacket is too delicious for words.

I also really highly dig everything going on in 3and4. Especially the colors in 3. Can you throw th shirt in the dryer for a couple minutes with fabric softener?

Loving all these looks, especially #3. Great colour, and I love it with the light boots. As someone who also struggles with taming a larger bust, I do think the pockets looks too tiny. I've come to the conclusion that I simply can't wear button down shirts with boob pockets.

I also love everything else, you've got bookending DOWN: in #2 the scarf with the boots, in #3 your boots bookend your hair, THEN #4 your boots echo your belt! A great illustration for how bookending pulls an outfit together!

#1/5 - this is my new Talbot's jacket (1: collar down vs. 5: collar up). I have to give a guest lecture today, so kept it simple, but not too casual - I also envision wearing this with jeans and boots - in fact, if I swapped out the black Martins for blue jeans and added black boots, I would have another more casual outfit. I think I may need some "cooler" black booties in my future - the ones I have on are rather dull. I wish you could see the tweed - it's wine, orange and fuchsia.

Some other recent WIWs:
#2 - these pants are actually black houndstooth (VC) - does this work? I tried to bookend the booties and scarf, but perhaps it's too subtle with the scarf tied this way.

#3 - unfortunately, this blouse was SO static-y by the end of the day that it was a disaster - any tips?

#4 - I felt good in this (I was copying an Angie pinterest look), but looking at it I think that my bust is too big for those pockets (or those pockets are too small for my bust). I've searching for the perfect chambray shirt with no luck. Should this denim shirt be passed along to someone less endowed?

Thanks for looking and for your advice. Sorry to post and run - I have meetings all day.
