Yes, at work. But I work in the technology field so our dress code is very relaxed.

I like the idea of rolled, but that might be too casual for work. Something to try in spring?

Those pants are super cute - and the length looks perfect to me. Rolling them up is fine, but would give them a real casual air - and this pic looks like perhaps you are at work?

Oh yes, Viva, aren't those buttons fun?!? That is the main reason I bought the pants. I'm waiting for the perfect boatneck striped shirt to come along to wear with them.

I'm curious what others think of the length though... they aren't quite capris, but they aren't really long enough to be full pants. And I'm not sure they look right on me. Should I roll them up a bit? That would make them a spring pair for sure, and I have never worn that look, let alone I'm not sure if it works on black pants. How do you think they would look with heels? (rolled or otherwise)

I just don't ahve any other pants that length and I'm not sure I'm wearing them right.

I especially love the sailor buttons on those pants. (Not sure if that is what they are officially called, but that's what I call them.)

Thank you so much everyone! Palmfronds - I agree that the black flats would have streamlined the look, but it also would have been very typical of me and in my search for personal style I'm trying to step out of my comfort zone now and then.

I really like the gold with the leopard, makes it very chic overall. The flats work great but if you really wanted to keep focus on your gorgeous blouse( and hair!) then black flats would streamline the colors below.

I like the gold tones and your flats echo the colors in the blouse. It softens the black. Looking forward to seeing more of your style.

Most of my outfit experimentation has been very "Pinspired" if you know what I mean... and that is defintely where I created this look from. But I'm looking forward to being inspired by you ladies! (and maybe gents?) One thing I need to learn is better picture taking.... I really am not that top heavy, I'm much more of a pearish-hourglass! Not sure if the angle or just my phone camera is the culprit.

I love the outfit! I have a mustard cardigan which I love, but which I never wear because I find it so hard to match. (It looks a lot like yours--mine is Banana Republic from a couple years ago). Inspiring!

I really like the colours. There's a subtlety too them. I think you picked the right flats. You've done a good job *modernizing* ruffles with leopard and the earth colours. I'll have to remember!

This outfit feels all over the place to me, but it seems to work.

Ruffled leopard blouse, mustard cardigan, black skinny (are they cigarette pants?) with gold stud accents, and cognac flats with Oxford details. Chunky gold necklace mostly hidden by the blouse and my hair.

Should I have worn leopard flats instead, or the black pair that has matching gold studs on the back?
