There is a double fold on the inside of the hem that rolls to the edge. That’s why the dress falls to the way it does in front. You'll trip over the hem and injure yourself. I'm 5ft 6 and it was dead right on the length. Same length on me as on the model. It runs big, and I was sized out of the XS - and I don't want a black dress...or another Summer dress for that matter.... BUT it's a FABULOUS dress. Very forgiving and flattering on a range of body types. It does not cling. The top blousons so that you can do what you like with the neckline. Fits a broad shoulder and larger bust as well as the opposite body type (as long as you get the right size). The diagonal line on the leg is magical. Fab length. VERY comfy. Camouflages muffin top. Dress it up or down. Looks fab with casual flats. No wonder it got rave reviews. IMPORTANT: it looks dressy in the photo, but it's a casual jersey dressy. You can wear it to the beach.
