Interesting, Una. I do not think I am much tinier than you. I'll bet my bum measurement and certainly my thigh measurements would be a whole lot bigger than yours! Just my boobs are smaller, lol!

But it is very interesting that they fit so baggy.

Suz, I just posted a separate thread about this regarding a stretchy pair. I had to size down 2 sizes (well, depending on brand, maybe 1 size) to a 26 in the style I got. And you are much tinier than me!

Yeah...but you know what, Angie? I am wondering if my long rise is why I often take what sounds like a larger-than-would-be-right for me size in jeans. I have noticed this discrepancy in the past with some who have my measurements (more or less) saying they take a smaller size than I would usually wear. And some who have larger measurements wearing my size. And I have wondered about this. It could also be that my thighs are...um...meaty...for want of a better word...I am relatively slim hipped but not slim of thigh. That is not a complaint, by the way - just an observation about my shape.

Or maybe I just prefer my jeans to fit looser. Which makes me a natural for a slouchy jean!!

But Suz! Your hip measurement is an inch smaller than mine. 25 it is.
Wow, 25, eh, Angie? Hmmm. I have quite a bottom...I don't think I've ever bought a size 25 jean. So they must be roomier than the norm?

Shannon, congratulations!!! So proud of you!! I wish I could advise better on the sizing!

We have similar measurements, Suz. I'm 35 on the hip and 24 in the waist. I got the NON-STRETCH with NO TEARS TR Camerons in a size 25 - and they are roomy. My round bottom does manage to fill out the back a little. I would not have wanted to size down. I vote size 25.

do not buy clothes with the intention of shrinking into them, shannon. it courts trouble. just wait, there will be other sales, unless you are prepared to love them snug.

when i buy, i bracket my size. a size up and down so i only have to try once. especially since sizing is all over the map. you may have to bracket twice.

is this something you can do, suz?

I'm going to watch this thread like a hawk Suz 'cause I am also considering these jeans, given the discounted price.

I'm actually thinking of buying them one inch (one size) smaller than what I'm wearing my Jessica Simpson slouchy skinnies at since I'm already down 8 pounds and teetering on going down a size. I figure this way if they are snug when I get them, I can "shrink" into them and wear them for a longer period of time, you know?

So. I am strongly considering the purchase of the True Religion Camerons Pioneer wash that Angie purchased from Amazon.

But I understand the sizing of these in the various washes is all over the map, and I'm not sure what size I should order.

Complicating matters is that I don't own a whole lot of premium jeans and I have never owned a pair of True Religion.

For reference, my waist is about 25" and my hips about 34." (Give or take a wee bit either way).

I usually wear a 2 or 26 in Gap (except for the Long and Lean, where I wear a 00, or the sexy BF, where I sized up to 6 for extra slouch and bagginess).

My Kut Dianas are a 2. My DL 1961s are also a 2 but are feeling a bit snug to me these days...then again, all legging jeans are feeling like that, LOL.

My BR slouchy skinnies are a 27 -- this is what gives them the extra bit of slouch.

Would love advice from anyone who has tried these and knows how they size.
