A good tailor can cinch in anything. Keep the yoke on the denim and have the whole thing altered at the back.

Experiment with J Brand and D Kahn and keep us posted.

I was poking around online....I'm going to want the Lauren style right?

Also, what do you think of J Brand? They started their Blue label, which is supposed to be more trouser like?

As for altering...I'm new to the idea... is it better if the jeans don't have a yoke in the back? The waist usually has to come in, but can they cinch in the butt a bit as well?

Thanks!!!!

Cut and fabric varies considerably. It makes all the difference. Have you considered altering your jeans and have you tried David Kahns?

Why are my trousers (machine wash, and dry clean) always easier to fit that jeans?

I'm a 6 foot pear...so excluding length issues, I still have trouble getting them to fit my thighs. I run into this a lot less with trousers. Is it just that the fabric is more forgiving? or are they made roomier?
