The Fryes seem too casual to my eye, and to me the white blouse doesn't "match" the pants in terms of modernness, if that makes any sense. That's why the 12th look jumped out at me: the jacket seems to "go with" the pants and the boots. I think they are especially awesome styled with the purple oxfords. I do think, however, that the cut of the pants needs for the top to be tucked in. I love the masculine/feminine idea of wearing the pants with a floral shirt (tucked in) and a chunky belt and the oxfords. I would also try the pants with a tucked-in turtleneck or cowl-neck, for fall. Ten all the way!
