Yeah, wow. You just look amazing, CF.

Maybe my problem was I tried the regulars vs. the petite. Hmmm. Still thinking.

Suz asked me to post a picture of mine on this thread - here they are - I obviously like them because I bought a second pair.

I'm wearing 4p (I'm normally a 4 regular, maybe 2 at the gap). I wish they were an inch or so longer, but the regular length didn't work on me - the rise was too long and they hung funny.

I just wanted to chime in and say how fantastic you look in #3 with your SBFs. Such a simple, uncluttered and stunning outfit! And your shades still make me swoon. *sigh*

BTW, I would try those specs (Faster Pussycat) you recommended for me, but they don't come in a light color, and that's what I'm looking for now. I just wanted to acknowledge that the frame is a great shape for me though. Thanks.

Hm, yes the curves on bottom may be the thing. I am rectangular from the front but curvy from the side. Tapered waists don't work for me, either.

Ha, Rae, yes, "plum smuggling effect" is exactly it! I think that these might work for those with less hips (like Ceit, who is around my size but far less pearish than me) because then you could pull them down lower, and once they're low enough I suspect that they start to get slouchy. Basically I suspect that if you can wear real men's jeans, you might be able to wear these too. For a pear, though, the waistband is too high and tapered.

Una, I did love the wash. Actually, if these came in a low-rise version I'd consider getting them (in my regular size) as normal, non-slouchy jeans. But as is, they are going into mom jeans territory for me with their rise.

I tried these a while back because I loved the wash, but they were much too stiff for me, like those 501s that used to come unwashed. I agree with your review 100%. But they do look great on Sir Ceit!

Oh - this is interesting, Diana. Thank you!

Cinnamon Fern has these and looks AWESOME in them. She is more of a slim hourglass/ rectangle, I believe. I hope she weighs in and posts some of her pics.

I tried them, too, but stupidly didn't take pics. They didn't work for me. They were just overall too big/ baggy and unflattering. I did intend at some point to go to the store and try a few different sizes (I had only ordered one size) but haven't made it there yet.

Thanks for the review, Diana. I was thinking to try them as well to decide between them and my new Gap ones but looks like they will not be friendly with curves.
I will stick with my sexy BF jeans then, they do drape beautifully!

Mine softened up after washing -- they don't pouch on me at all. I am more a rectangle than a pear though so maybe that has something to do withit.

Great review. I think you are right, the fabric is too stiff. The drape needs just the right about of stiffness and softness for the right drape. Slouchy is fun. Pouch is not!

Thanks for this review! The pooching is exactly why I swore up and down that I would never wear BF jeans before finding the Sexy BFs. I called it the "plum smuggling" effect. I think you are right that the drape is probably what does it, because the SBFs are very soft and slinky.

and I don't think I will be getting them, but here is a review (with bad pics, sorry, I only had the terrible ipad camera with me). I liked that they were 100% cotton and full length and the fading pattern is good (I tried on the distressed ones). I tried on my size (#1) and one size up (#2). The thighs are not as baggy as on my SBFs and it didn't really seem to get much bigger with the bigger size. Interesting because Ceit's seemed just as baggy if not more... but maybe this wash is cut narrower. My main issue was that I felt like the stiff cotton was actually preventing them from being slouchy as opposed to baggy. In my regular size, I couldn't really pull the waist down as it was not wide enough (the waist band is more tapered than on the SBFs). For this kind of fit, I'd want a lower rise (like on my 100% cotton MEK jeans that I already own). On the size up, I could pull it down but things seemed to pooch rather than slouch nicely, and even so it did not go as low as I would like. See how the crotch is doing that V thing in #2? That's what I mean by the pooching. Maybe on someone with narrower hips these would work better.

Last photo are my SBFs for reference. They are the same size as the pair in photo 2.
