I don't think of it as failure. Rather, I see it as progress as I work towards what I envisage my look being and I become more adept at buying clothes that flatter and suit my lifestyle. I'm not prepared to spend even $5 of my hard earned money on the clothing equivalent of rubbish. </p> <p>Another little trick I've just started to learn is that when I'm in the changing room trying on clothes, I take a photo of myself in the mirror using my mobile phone. For some reason I find that I can look at myself a little more objectively on film and see whether things like proportions etc, are all good, or whether it is a Big Fat No. I just thought I'd share in case it is a useful tip for the future.</p> <p>I hope you feel a little better and if you are looking for that perfect woven blouse, that you find it soon! I have mostly suits and dress shirts becauase I have to go to court alot BUT I often pair my work shirts with black, pants, cords, just anything that is a more relaxed fabric and less tailored cut. </p> <p>You can also, depending, on the lenght of the chirt, wear it as a dress.</p> <p>And you can wear it as a layering piece, with a less dressy shirt. </p> <p>Sateen can be tricky--What color was it? We were in Myer (closest American equivalent would be Macy's) and I saw two lovely Ben Sherman shirts. One was a semi-sheer polka dot blouse with a ruffle half way down the front. The other was a cotton sateen button down. The base was black with swallows all over it in various shades of teal and turquoise.<br /> If I had an office job they'd look great, but I just felt like a sham in them. </p>
