Niefern I've got 2 pairs of shoes from Zara that I love. I do have a slightly narrow foot with high arches - very slight bunions on the lateral side of both feet... and am a 'well seasoned' woman. Ankle boots that I purchased last year were great from the get-go. I'm about a size 7 - and took a 37. Pointy toe sling backs were another story as I found sizing inconsistent - 1 pair of 37s were too small, but another just right. They are comfy with Dr. Scholl's toe pads in the toe box (keeps my foot from sliding forward). I do love the footwear at Zara and hope you can find something that works for you!

Angie, my feet are normal, not wide, and do not have bunions or calluses or any other visible problem. But they are very sensitive, can't stand any compression, many shoes get my feet very tired very soon and also I suffer ball of foot pain (only right foot). Besides, for the last couple of years or so I have been noticing rheumatic pains and aches in my feet and ankles (it all started several years ago in my hands, when I wake up in the morning they are terribly stiff).

Another YLFer with fussy feet chiming in! My feet really aren't that wide, but I do have bunions on both, so they can make shoes very uncomfortable at times. I tried both the white and blue booties, and while the width seems ok, they are incredibly short on me. I'm going to reorder both in the next size up and see how that goes. Shoe fit is all very individual, but this has been my experience so far.

Thanks, Angie. If it is Euro sizing I should be good in 37 with thin socks.

Suz, both booties run true to size. I bought them in a Euro size 37 or US 6.5 - which is my size. I popped in a cushioning insole and wore my normal thin-nish socks. That said, the toe boxes are a little more snug because of the points. My low volume feet are fine with that. But I would worry a little if you have wider feet. You might need to size up.

Angie, Shevia, how is the fit on those navy booties? They don't have my larger size left but do have my smaller size. I am curious whether they might work.

Hah, Shevia. You and I are going to be bootie twins (white and blue). I bought the navy and neoprene too - love them. So comfy. They fit my scrawny ankle. I am intolerant of gaping booties worn with skirts and dresses these days. The white booties I only wear with trousers and jeans for that reason.

Niefern, do you have a wider foot? I found that the pointy toes are cut quite slim at Zara this year.

I see it is not only me ... but as you have occasionally found some nice pair at Zara, I may go again and try again. Perhaps I will go armed with a cushioning insole, to see if that solves the problem in some pair(s), though I do not have much hope.

But the fact is I really loved the looks of many shoes there.

I agree with Angie that it really depends. The leather or leather blend is usually stiff and it is very hit and miss. I am about to bite the bullet on the navy booties Angie bought because I tried them on in an actual store and they were exceptional - plus the neoprene around the ankle give them an especially sleek, no gap look. And, believe me, if the white booties show up around here I will try them also. I bought a pair of light blue flats in New York at the end of season sale but have not worn them because they are squeaky and maybe too pointy. Zara was the first international fashion chain to open in Israel and their items are still the most popular for re-sale. I have a very complex relationship with Zara!

That's so right, Marley. I am Queen Fussy Feet, and I found two pairs of booties at Zara a few weeks ago and I couldn't be happier with them. I popped in a cushioning insole and was sorted. Road tested the flat white Beatle booties this weekend and am in heaven I tell you. I found both pairs SO much more comfy than the Miu Mius, Pradas, 3.1 Philip Lims and Guccis I was seriously contemplating purchasing three weeks ago. I also prefer the designs of the Zara booties. They just click for my style and foot shape.

I generally find Zara footwear uncomfortable, but every so often I REALLY score. This also happened five years ago when in the Netherlands and I came back with two pairs of comfy Zara flats.

Sorry that they didn't work out for you, Niefern. I guess it was my turn to be lucky this time because feet are fussy in different ways. But do continue to leave no retail stone unturned. It will be YOUR turn to be lucky next time.

I've never been able to find their shoes that worked for me. For once they rarely have size 40's in the store. And if they do, most of the time I can't get my foot in them due to my very high instep.

I haven't been able to wear any of those I have tried on so far...but if Angie likes the booties this year, there might still be hope. I find the leather very stiff in most of the shoes and while the styles are amazing, the comfort factor is not there for me.

This will sound surreal but one of the best pairs of boots I've ever had was from ZARA. Ten years ago, from TRF (I was 14 back then). Very comfy, and very cute, at a time when it was really hard for me to find well-fitting shoes. It's never happened again though. I do have a friend with feet completely different to mine -they are wider and thicker, with more fat in-between- that finds them really comfortable, even their high-heels.

I had never tried shoes at Zara. I have fussy feet and did not have much hope to find a great pair for myself there. But as I had seen a number of very nice-looking pairs on their website, I decided to go to the store and try them on. As Angie says, never leave a retail stone unturned!

Disaster. I tried 6 or 7 pairs of various styles (booties, flats, mary-janes, small heel). I found them all horribly unconfortable. Very rigid, very stiff, no cushioning. Terrible!

I am thinking Zara shoes are only for younger women with healthy robust feet, or?
