I've tried on those horizontal striped maxi dresses they ARE quite flattering. The pattern tends to flatten out the curves on the Z axis and emphasize the cute curves on the X/Y axis. I pulled my hair back from my hairline a little in the front and a lot on in the back. So many of the ladies have a snake printed something so I've warmed up to prints since joining the forum. I was nervous about trying it on because I'm a curvy hourglass with a bit of extra "fluff" in the tummy, hips, and lower back. I grew up hearing that people who are heavy should never wear horizontal stripes. But I tried on the dress and loved it! And I get lots of compliments whenever I wear it. It's versatile, and I style it in different ways. Best of all, it washes easily and feels as comfy as wearing a nightgown. </p>
