Multisport Canada do a great job with their events. Though competitive, they are friendly and very well run. This weekend's event was a special 'Women's Only' event. 209 women participated, and there were 13 in my age categorie (55+) and many more in the 50-54 age range. I spoke with several women who were doing their first ever triathlon! It was great to see whole clubs line the side of the road to cheer on their training partners and women of ALL shapes and sizes participating. </p> <p>We did get rained on (thus the drowned rat appearance below) but the course was fast, flat, and safe. </p> <p>On a fashion note - I have been keeping the back of my hair cut very close, but letting the top and front grow long. Stretched, the front is to my chin, but it curls quite short. I'm finding this style works very well for workouts and events. The long parts curl and stay out of my face or can be clipped back with a simple barrette. It is wash and go from the gym, but the length around the face gives me a little 'pretty'. </p> <p>#1 wet footwear after the race<br /> #2 new bling<br /> #3 soggy, but happy </p>
