With no relief at night. Even when it “cools” to 75-80, the air is so heavy with water that it can be difficult to breathe. The humidity starts in mid/late May and seems to reduce around late August, but we have warm days through to October. On the plus side, I get to fully indulge my love of dresses and skirts and colorful sandals. If it cooled off significantly at night and wasn't so humid, it would be more pleasant. 85-90 here is a steamy swampy mess. High humidity, and it stays hot overnight. My hair has entered the season of "it's gonna be what it's gonna be." I don't mind hot days if we get nice refreshing cool nights when I can open the windows. For some reason I hate the idea of needing to run the AC to sleep. Just food for thought -- I had the sleeves removed from this dress below because I never wore it for the reasons you mention. The sleeves not only made the dress too warm for our summers, but also had annoying elastic. I had noticed that a sleeveless version of this dress in a different print had popped up at Anthro last year, so I took the plunge and had my tailor take them off. It worked out great! I'm thinking of wearing it today. The vibe is instantly more casual and it's more comfortable. Lots of sleeveless dresses and tops. The gorgeous dress above would be worn in our early spring or early fall only for me — if I wear anything on my arms it has to be loose. I won’t wear jeans again until September— except for travels to less humid climates.
