It will keep you on track for your style goals, and keep you from shopping in the wrong departments just because you consciously wrote everything out. When I articulated this Spring/Summer that I didn't want to purchase any more skirts, but dresses instead, that's all I needed. Whenever I'd start looking at skirts, I'd remember and tell myself, "Step aWAY from the skirts!" It really worked. I'm considering making the ballet flat one of my personal style essentials though. Even though it's not trending anymore, ballet flats just really get my feet, and my style. I have enough fall shoes, boots, and bootlets I think too. What I need is some solid tops to mix with patterned items. Lightweight layering knits, I think, maybe. And looking for a short, simple dress (maybe something asymmetrical) to go with some arty leggings and patterned jeans, which could go from summer through fall as a layering piece.</p> <p>Other than that, I don't feel a need to seek other trends right now.
