I hope to add a pair of dark wash, high-rise, wide-legged jeans to my wardrobe for the fall. I am about to order these two pairs from Everlane. Unfortunately, the dark wash in the Mariner is sold out in my size, so that I may take it out of my cart. The Sailor jeans get excellent reviews.

I have two pairs of Citizens of Humanity jeans. The Annina and Paloma. They are the same. The denim is very soft and comfortable. There is also a lot of distressing and whiskering, which is not for everyone.

Gosh, I tried on so many when I was 1st looking for wide leg denim.
As Suz said, I think you’ll want/need to try on want different styles/pairs. So for that reason, I’d avoid any final sale….but YMMV. As others mentioned I’ve had good luck with The Gap. Also recommend giving JCrew a look.

I think many of these have potential and agree that the only way to know is to try them on.

Does it look like the fabric belt could be removed from the CK ones?

Karie, Amazon has the Paige Gracie Lou jeans in a range of sizes for substantially less. Also, if you are a Prime member you can order and try them for 7 days while incurring no cost unless you decide to keep. Be sure to check the Try Before You Buy button during purchase process.

You’re tall, correct? I recently got these corduroy flares and like them very much. Enough length in the regular size to wear with sneakers or low-heel booties, but also available in tall. Nice high waist and available in several colors.

https://www.gap.com/browse/pro.....&ap=7

If you are tall with no curves like me you might take a look at J. Crew denim. They make my best-fitting bottoms.

I got these Levi High-rise cropped flare jeans last year and have just started wearing them again now that temperatures are dipping into the high teens/low 20’s. They are still available in different washes and at a variety of sites on line. High cotton content and a decent price point.

Angie, the Wit & Wisdom jeans are in stock in my size at the Cherry Hill, NJ Nordstrom’s, and I will be traveling to Cherry Hill for a family birthday party. I’m sure I’ll be able to find time to stop in and try them on! Fingers crossed!

Personally, I've done well with wide leg jeans from Veronica Beard, Frame, COS, Madewell, United Colours of Benetton, and Banana Republic.

I echo Suz! Try many pairs, Karie. Especially the Paige wide legs and the Everlane. Try to find the Paiges elsewhere in your size. I bet they will pop back up.

These caught my eye, and might be worth a look.

What about Mother jeans? There is enough styles for high rise ( most of collection anyway ) and different length. And there is Friends and Family event on Bloomingdale's website ( 25% off many brands - Mother jeans included ).

The pleats start an inch below the bottom of the waist band. I find them very flattering, so much so that I tuck in many tops I wear with these. They give me more of a waist than most everything else in my wardrobe!

Re-reading your post - maybe you were looking more for jeans. Though I would say give those Everlanes a try if you're open to non-jeans. I concur with Suz on the Gap jeans - I have a pair of the Washwell stride and a wide leg pleated pair that I'm pretty happy with - not as perfect a fit as the Everlanes but a nice fit. The waist is perhaps a little loose on the blue pair and the pleats are not as flattering. But workable and a great length and very comfortable. The Washwells are closer fitting in the hip area but pretty comfortable and flattering.

So...my advice is to try a lot on!!

When I decided to jump on the full length wide leg bandwagon I really did have to do a major shopping trip and try-on in-person session. I ended up with wide legs at all price points. I'd been wearing wider crops for several years. But the new wide legs were and are a bit different -- more A-line -- and for me, that change has been positive because I find them more comfortable and more flattering than my older versions. Anyway...I tried on jeans at Madewell, Levi, Anthro, Nordstrom, J. Crew, Scotch & Soda, and I don't know where else. I ended up preferring one pair from Everlane and one pair from Anthro (the Paige jeans you linked). Note that they are cropped on the model but not on me. :)

Later on I also got wide legs at lower price points from Old Navy and a cropped pair from Gap. I like these almost as well!

The Everlanes I got look much nicer than in the photo. They are substantial in weight and have a deep hem at the bottom that adds a bit of something special.

For me, the wash, the weight of the denim, and the details of the cut are all relevant factors, and maybe a bit personal. But I know you will look amazing in this style so I hope you find your perfect pair!

Those are very nice, salt-sea! How low do the pleats sit? Like, do they hit at the ab area or slightly below? I do best with a low sitting, stitched down, or folded over pleat - one that doesn’t accentuate the ab area.

I have - and love - a pair of everlane’s way high drape pant. Fabric is nice; can dress up or down. Comes in two inseam measurements (30 & 32”). I wear them with sneakers, loafers, flats. and everything from blouses to t shirts. Has belt loops but I generally wear without a belt. Waist sits nicely for me. Can’t get my find to add, so here is the link: https://www.everlane.com/produ.....nkle-black

I’ve been doing a bit of a wardrobe refresh, an update really, and finally, FINALLY, I’m getting tired of skinny jeans. I’ll probably always have a pair or two hanging around in my closet because I still like my longer tops and tunics, but it’s time to move on.

Here’s where I could use some help from all you fab fashionistas! The non-negotiables are a) must be high waisted and b) they must look good with a cool pair of sneakers as well as shoes.

#1 -I’m in love with these! Of course they’re sold out in my size, but I’ll continue to stalk them. They’re from Shop Bop.

#2 - These were in Suz’s latest post, and I adore them too! But you guessed it, sold out in my size.

#3 They’re nice but I’m not sure how I feel about the fabric belt. From Macy’s.

#4 - I kind of like these but something seems off - maybe they’re a bit too overall loose fitting looking, or perhaps I just don’t want to buy them from the same place where I buy a lot of gear (LL Bean).

I’m looking for something with a structured, casual/dressy vibe.

Any recommendations for me? What have you come across in the shopping you’ve been doing?
