I find that scarf plus jacket/coat doesn’t photograph well - it can look quite bulky. But in person and with movement the extra layer of colour and texture a scarf gives looks quite good. Its working well here to my eye! </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/trench-challenge#post-2026737 Mon, 13 May 2019 05:36:13 +0000 Sal 2026737@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>Thanks Bijou and Mainelady for inspiring this challenge.&nbsp; Both of you look stellar in your lovely trenches.....</p> <p>This is my third trench coat.</p> <p>1) My first was a black cheap version from Ezibuy.&nbsp; It was mid thigh and never quite worked on me.&nbsp; It was okay belted with minimal layers.&nbsp; It quickly showed wear.<br /> 2) My next was a thrifted 70s version knee length in a rusty brown.&nbsp; I passed it on about four years ago- maybe a year too soon...&nbsp; It was knee length and worked better on me both belted and unbelted.<br /> 3) This version - Sportscraft (Quality Classic Australian brand) - single breasted, bought on sale from consignment store in 2018.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Here two pics - one from today and one from early April.&nbsp; I always feel a bit messy in a trench and today's version is no exception.&nbsp; This scarf I am very fond of, but it is voluminous and maybe too much so on me.&nbsp; I think a smaller silk scarf or no scarf may be better.&nbsp; My hair is overdue for a cut and colour and playing up on a wet humid day.</p> <p>I will keep the trench but it is not a classic/must have for me.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Thanks for looking. </p>
