I love that collar. But I agree with the others. If it bugs you in the store, it will bug you 100 times more IRL. Good call.

Sometimes, shopping can be hard. I think you made a good call about returning it. When I'm "fussing" over details, I know I just won't be all that happy with it. Good luck finding the perfect coat!

Shu since you are an hourglass and like to emphasize your shape, definitely hold out and look for a trench that has the hourglass shaping you'll be most happy with

Smart move to put this back. If there's a feature on an item that nags when you try it on in a store, it's bound to become a wardrobe orphan once the item comes home. This happens to me all the time.

I love the collar too! I'm just trying to be more picky about fit. I have a hard time finding non-stretchy tops that the entire garment doesn't lift up several inches when I raise my arms - which was a problem even in the bigger size. The smaller size looked great through the body, but looked silly when I lifted my arms - and the fact that I like this one, but would LOVE one that will be long enough to keep my body warm and dry when I wear dresses made me decide to keep looking.

Thanks for hanging in with the crummy pics!

I liked the coat! I agree with Rae, the collar is fab - it's both dressy & sporty at the same time...!? Seems like it would go anywhere. I honestly had no idea Costco sold clothes! Cool.

Hm, can't see the bunching since your arms are at your waist to take the pic... if it bothers you, though, it's better to pass. Too bad, because the collar is awesome!

I know this coat! Was it one of Angie's picks, or something like it at Nordie's? What's going to happen when you layer sweaters under it in the winter? Sometimes it's good to have a little space for layering under winter coats. I have a beautiful trench coat but the sleeves are too tight to wear with blazers.... makes it's usefulness somewhat limited for me.

The bunching would annoy me personally and I'd be fiddling with it constantly and be concerned that it added extra inches to my behind. I'm kinda thinking that as you only like not love it that you're best to wait for something better x

Personally I don't like the sound of "excess bunching" If you are going to be pulling at it, or rearranging it every time you get in and out of the car, then maybe it's not for you. Can you wear it unbelted?

In Costco, I like this, but would LOVE a midi - but this fills my need for an attractive, warm coat. I had to size up to get the arms long enough, which results in excess bunching when belted. I have a tendency to buy things that aren't quite fabulous - so is bunching when belted a deal breaker for more wise ladies?
