Backup choices are the simple black sandals, and the metallic shoes because they are closest to a neutral on you and let the dress do the talking.</p> <p>But that is just relating it to my personal aesthetic, which incorporates some Yang element into every Yin outfit, and vice versa. To me, the contrasty Mary Jane shoes are too girly to offset the dress; I'd wear those with shorts and T, or jeans, unless in a very straitlaced setting. Then <b>Angie</b> featured the pink plaid version, and after <b>kellygirl</b> got the white striped one, I knew I had to try it. It's a lot of fun to wear, and the fabric is much higher quality than I would have expected for a dress under $50 USD. Pics 1-3 are the blue stripe in XS, 4-6 are the blue in S, and 7-8 are the ivory in S. I've almost completely decided to keep the S in blue because the XS was a bit restrictive when walking up and down stairs. The sizing is a bit variable- the white S is 1/2" narrower in the shoulders, but 1-2" wider in the bust than the blue one (so exactly the opposite of what I need in terms of fit). I love the crispness of the white, but felt more comfortable in the blue. <br /></div><div><br /></div><div>Thoughts on shoes? Or general silhouette and color of shoes I could look for? Many of the ones in these pictures are on their last summer, so I'm committed to finding replacements that would work with this dress.</div> </p>
