They were all way too wide in back and on the sides for my skinny feet though. And TBH, I wouldn't likely use them any other time.<br /> The Merrills I wore are problematic. I like the zero drop, but the toe shape is odd and they have a very low toe box. Plus the thin soles and my rocky driveway are not a good match! I just wear them for cycling.<br /> My other trainers are my running shoes, but they're neon orange and white. It is hard to believe ( watching snow come down) that sleeves are too warm. I buy the lightest weight shoes that I can find for travel with a carry on. And pack one or two pair plus what I wear( the heaviest). This is what I wore for travel, and the things I didn't end up needing. Post 2 will be more fun!</p> <p>The trip was 5 days in FL (the boring, overdeveloped part), to visit my dad, plus 2 travel days. Everything got stuffed in a carry on, and I did wash clothes on the trip. </p> <p>Travel outfit, both ways- olive joggers, sneakers, and turtleneck. Did Not feel fab. Normally I wouldn't wear sneakers in public, but I walked a lot in the airport. Coat came out when I got home. Shouldv'e left it in DHs car instead of bringing it along. It's packable, but still not that small.</p> <p>Not worn- black long sleeve T. Brought for sleep but too warm. Full length leggings- brought in case pool was cold, or to sleep in. Didn't need.</p> <p>Barely worn- thong sandals. Thought I may use them if I rented a SUP or kayak, and not risk my Birks. I didn't rent anything and just wore them for a quick trip to the community pool.<br /> Also barely worn- grey hoodie. I just had it on one night sitting outside, then left it on to sleep. Good to have just in case though. </p> <p>The other fail was jewelry. I just left my stud earrings in, cause I swam everyday, had my wedding ring + 1 other, and wore 1 bracelet and 1 necklace 1x each. Didn't need to bring the extra couple pairs of drop earrings, other necklace, other ring. </p> <p>Could've saved a couple pounds maybe, but not too bad for not having flown in many years. First time I remember just using a carryon.<br /> Now on to the more fun bit! </p>
