Thanks for mentioning that. Your two outfits give me very different impressions. I like them both, but the skirt's print and the green T feel more festive to me, especially if it's a garden party. Bijou I like several options.  The weather has been so unpredictable.  The dog park is huge and we can walk for an hour or so.  Sophie loves it. Sterling the skirt is probably more festive but it requires heels.  My feet may not be up to wearing heels for the afternoon.  The sandals are wedges and are comfy but I will have to see.  I may have to stick to my flat sandals. Skylurker you have a good memory!  I wore the outfit to a shower last summer.  The women were very dressed up.  Like going to a wedding dressed up.  I went with the groom's mother (my husband's exwife - we get along fine) and we were much more casually dressed.  The birthday party won't be like that.  They have one every five years.  I can wear my denim jacket with outfit #2 if I am cold.  Canadians think 23 C is very warm.  Most people will be in shorts.   Thank you Ryce.  I have a smallish wardrobe.  Most of my clothes are olive green and autumn colours.  Building a working wardrobe has been my retirement project. Of couse, I know this is a small subset of your wardrobe and specifically chosen to work together. But seeing this travel capsule just reminds me of what a well-defined esthetic you have. As to the specifics of this capsule, I very much like your outfit possibilities for the party. I think you wore it to an occasion last year and felt under-dressed? Do I remember correctly? Maybe add some bling around your neck so the top looks less like a tee? I'm concerned you'd get cold though Do you have a topper for outfit #2? Also, I'd take more closed shoes, less open shoes for these temperatures, but I know we all feel temperatures differently. Mr SF wants to continue after Ottawa to Montreal for a week.  Hmmm.  I will need to pack to consider this possibility.  Weather.  Umbrella needed.  Summer has not happened in Muskoka and I don't think it is much different in Ottawa.  Highs of 24 C  Lows 13 C.  Some rain.  Montreal.  Same.  Cooler at night. I have taken Angie's advice and started my travel capsule with footwear.  I am very limited when it comes to footwear.  My feet are very fussy and I can only wear certain shoes.  That makes packing my footwear easy. I will also need an outfit for the birthday party.  I am taking 2 possibilities.  It will depend on the weather which one I wear. This is what I am taking so far.
