Maybe after we retire we'll try something similar. My youngest is at Concordia and will likely end up teaching in Montreal. Ever since her first summer there as an au pair she was spoiled for New Brunswick -- "You call that cheese?" So far, Montreal visits are few and short, for skiing or conferences, but we do try to hit as many ethnic restaurants as possible. Would love to fit in some culture and shopping too. I always find it more challenging to stick with a small travel capsule when traveling with my husband, rather than my solo photo trips, when I mainly rely on hiking gear! I need to pack things that layer, provide warmth when needed, keep me dry when needed, and dress up just a bit for evenings out.
