<p>Lately I’ve been into skirts and graphics t-shirts. A bit of revival of the 90s

<p>Great to see your additions, they seem very sensible! I'm curious what you'll come up with to replace graphic tees. I don't wear them (very picky about print/slogans) yet they always seem like a great way to add outfit interest while remaining easy to mix and match.

<p>Thanks, everyone!</p>
<p>Slimcat - artsy graphics would help it feel not so blah. </p>
<p>Cardiffgirl - no idea what to replace it with. I am stumped! </p>
<p>Rachy- I do love the Leia tee!</p>
<p>Carla - I did not get to wear the rash guard, but I know it will get lots of wears this summer! YES! I would love to brainstorm summer options with you! Jersey is out for me and I am with you on boho - I like a small amount - but too flowy can quickly go sloppy... I feel awkward in dresses, which adds to the frustration. I think safari-ish is more my vibe, based on the pieces I already have.</p>
<p>Angie - thanks! We are obsessed with Star Wars (except 1-3) and of course baby Yoda! Thank you for reminding me to pay attention to how pieces go together. I thought about that a lot last night and, looking back on how I’ve shopped in the past, it’s been an afterthought - unless I was shopping for a whole outfit. That could explain my closet orphans... </p>
<p>April - thanks! Trying to survive the heat and humidity is key!</p>
<p>Sal - My youngest just started school this year and I have been trying to shift to a less casual style, but it’s been tricky to find the sweet spot between my former corporate style and mom-in-yoga-pants style. Too dressy, and things go unworn for fear I will ruin it. Too lounge-y, and I lose motivation to leave my house :D</p>
<p>Notsaf- thanks! Both coats will see some wear this week; I’ll try to get photos for a WIW. A summer challenge would be great! I am set on toppers for summer, I think... I should really do another deep inventory of what I have.

<p>I adore your outwear update! So glad you found a big camel coat that suits you. Seems very true to your style. Would love to see pics! Ditto your lovely aviator.</p>
<p>Summer is a tough one. I tend to do dresses with a denim jacket or woven sleeveless tops with cropped pants. Seems like we should plan for a summer challenge of some kind, maybe!?

<p>What a fun outing and you look fab. Your additions are great- I think you are transitioning your style to a less casual version - a bit more urban? The additions read that way.</p>
<p>I agree - woven tops can read a bit more dressy. Even in a tee shape.

<p>NM - I lived in Florida 30 years ago and at that time, I do not recall most people doing anything with clothing besides trying to survive the heat/humidity.&nbsp; If you managed to do that and add in some style, pat yourself on the back.&nbsp; :)</p>

<p>You looked great for the theme park with your pile of boys,<b> Nemosmom</b>!<b></b> As a die hard Star Wars fan - (excluding episodes 1 to 3) - ENVIOUS. The Yoda earrings!!! (Btw, have you seen Baby Yoda?)</p>
<p>Tees will shrink in the dryer no matter what, I'm afraid :(</p>
<p>BREEZY COVERED BLOUSES are my go-to for hot top weather separates if I'm not in a dress. And my Summers are HOT. 36C to 40C in August. I get the heat. The a/c is what worries me.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Feb Update: Nice that you have a strategy on how to assess some wardrobe holes effectively. Makes sense doing it by category - but only up to a point. You need to think about how wardrobe items work together - or don't work together - to get the big picture AND the detail.&nbsp;</p>
<p>And I'm trying your sunscreen!</p>

<p>Squee! &nbsp;We are rash guard twins! &nbsp;But, I guess you didn’t get to wear it? &nbsp;:-( &nbsp; I wore mine&nbsp;<b>10 times!&nbsp;</b>and will probably use it as a cycling jersey, since my current jerseys are all short sleeved.</p>
<p>I think you and I need to put our heads together to figure out this ‘high/hot summer’ top quandary. &nbsp;Jersey isn’t going to work, so t-shirts are out. &nbsp;I’m not a camp shirt person, so not sure what the answer is. I&nbsp;<i>might&nbsp;</i>be amenable to a little boho, but only a little!</p>

<p>Great analysis - agree on t-shirt/jeans combo getting too hot and too predictable ( maybe ..) for warm weather. I'm looking for modal/cotton tops in more artsy graphics or silky short sleeved blouses for elevated outfit for spring/summer.<br />Love your new outwear.<br />Happy for your good time at Orlando ( a bit jealous - Star Wars park! ).

<p>At the end of my no-shop January, I <a rel="nofollow" href="https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/the-unicorn-coat-is-here">rescued and refurbished a great aviator coat</a> and decided to tackle my outerwear capsule.</p>
<p>
<div><br /></div><div><u>In February, I edited out four pieces of outerwear</u>: <br />- BR trench coat (too short and not water-resistant); <br />- well-loved, burgundy wool blend coat (thrifted) that was starting to show major wear;</div><div> - thin 70% poly/10% wool blend coat. <br /></div><div>- long plum coat that I couldn't layer under.</div><div><br /></div><div><u>I added three pieces of outerwear; one rash guard (twinning with Carla!)</u>:</div><div>- <a rel="nofollow" href="https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/which-coat-2">camel top coat</a> (Babiton slouch coat): really warm, and is easily layerable.&nbsp; Already worn 5 times.<br /></div><div>- sherpa/leather bomber jacket (thrifted and refurbished): MAJOR love for my rescued Amelia Earhardt/Indiana Jones coat.&nbsp; <br />- burgundy/oxblood leather trench (thrifted): replaces a Matrix-looking black leather trench I edited out <a rel="nofollow" href="https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/kd-do-these-jackets-fit">due to fit issues</a>. I LOVE the wide collar and the color of this (same color as the tired wool coat I let go), but it's more insulating for windy days.<br /></div><div><br /></div><div>Additions below in Finds.</div><div><br /></div><div><b>Takeaways</b>:&nbsp; I think editing and adding by capsule or category is the best way <i><u>for me</u></i> to assess holes and identify why some things don't get worn. It helped that outerwear is an easy thing to assess in February when it's snowy ;)<br /></div></p>

<p>
<div>Just home from a week in Orlando where we spent some time at Disney World. It was nice to get a break from the weather, and out of my fleece-lined joggers for a while... :D&nbsp; Most of the month was spent planning for the trip instead of shopping.&nbsp; I thought I would share what I packed, and takeaways, in case it is helpful. <br /></div><div><br /></div><div><b>Where we went</b>:&nbsp; The new Star Wars themed park at Hollywood Studios (crazy-crowded, but beautifully done by Disney), Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom.</div><div><br /></div><div><b>What I packed (below)</b>:&nbsp; 6 graphic tees and 2 colored jeans, 1 extra pair of sneakers, 1 rain shell, swim suit and rash guard.&nbsp; On the plane, I wore the long-sleeved tee, cream hoodie, waxed jacket, blue jeans, Vans.&nbsp; Everything fit in my carry-on tote: a packing cube, along with a packable backpack for the park, toiletries, and makeup, and my boys' ipad, headphones, and snacks.&nbsp; Clothes and one extra pair of shoes for the boys and DH went in a rolling duffel suitcase. <br /></div><div><br /></div><div>The weather was in the low 80s one day; the rest of the week was cool (50's at night; one day the high was 61!)&nbsp; Everything got worn, except for the swim gear (too cold to swim).&nbsp; I liked that the tees and bottoms were all mixable, and interesting <i>enough</i>.&nbsp; We had laundry available in the hotel, but I ended up doing only one load the day before we left (to wash sweaty-smelling boy hoodies for the flight home). Despite drying everything on delicate, I shrunk two of my tees :(</div><div><br /></div><div><b>I discovered a new sunscreen that I REALLY like:&nbsp; Babo Baby Skin Mineral SPF 50</b>. It is a fragrance-free, silicone-free, nano-zinc that leaves NO white cast, and is water-resistant for 80 mins, and reef friendly.&nbsp; It did not break me out or cause my eczema to flare. It is NOT thick or pasty, and I did not burn at all.&nbsp; I used it on my arms and face/neck without any problems.&nbsp; I also tried their tinted face stick, but found it too "shiny", difficult to blend, and too small an amount for the price.<br /></div><div><br /></div><div><b>Takeaways:</b>&nbsp; I am NOT feeling graphic tees and jeans for spring/summer - this has been my go-to outfit formula for the last two summers. Too hot. Too... something - just blah.&nbsp; Fine for vacation or theme park or whatever, but I don't feel good in it for a day-to-day look anymore.&nbsp; <br /></div><div><br /></div><div>I broke my shopping fast in February, and will add notes and Finds in the comments below.&nbsp; Here are Finds for the travel capsule:<br /></div></p>
