Denise, I try to sell some, but a lot of used ladies clothes just don't sell well. I am going to take the dress and skirt to a consignment shop here in town. It's nothing fancy, and I've sold a few used things there when I last lived here in town.
The halter I might eBay because it's 100% silk and a designer name - Laundry Shelli Segal. That's where *I* got it lol.
Jayne, I did find it interesting when I looked hard at what was going in vs coming out of the closet Come to find I am in 'upgrade' mode hee hee. (Better for me than acquisition mode!)

Cute new clothes Mo! I'm curious, are you selling the purged items on eBay?

Thanks gals! Yes, Jonesey, I found it on eBay but it's Gap. Love that it's linen blend for the summer heat.
Rae, I think you might be right that it's partly instinctual knowing when to move on . . . the trick is not somehow ending up with MORE in the process lol.

Go, Mo! I love that you CAN do this without overthinking it. It's like you instinctually know when to upgrade.

You found that ikat top! I was wondering if you'd be able to find it--it's Gap, right? I have a t-shirt in the same pattern (mine is green) and I remembered seeing the tanks too. It will look fab on you and be a great layering piece once you are back in California.

Those look like great substitutions, Mo. You are really honing your style now. Very impressive. In my mind, anyone who can dress at ALL in that Florida heat is a genius!!

I'm still keeping my total wardrobe size in mind and basically doing the one in / one out principle, although not always consciously lol. I realized this most noticeably with my last few purchases.

I purged an old print dress that no longer is my style, and then later the same week found myself ordering a print dress.
Purging a blue ethnic print summer skirt, and a print silk halter that never quite fit right -bought a blue ethnic print summer tank that takes the best of both I'm tossing and mixes it together.
Now I'm about to pull the trigger on a satin semi formal dress I've been eyeing for weeks, while at the same time realizing a satin 'party' dress I have is too frilly feeling and may have to go. (I may try removing the mesh layer under the skirt first and see if that tones it down enough.)

Out with the old (pic #2), in with the new (pic #1)! :)

Oh, yeah, almost forgot I replaced my stripe brown top that developed a counter hole in it with a super soft knit from UO.
