I got a 27 in the TRs (and could have sized down more), and a 28 in the AGs. I have a wider waist and no hips, so cut matters. In Gap I wear 4/6 or 27/28 depending on how the style runs. I am really glad I went same size because the thighs are not at all tight -- there is room in them, and room in the crotch and butt, even right after washing -- but there is not A LOT of slouch, just enough. After a few days of wearing there is more slouch in both the butt and thigh areas, but still not as much as my BFs. This is what I wanted -- more room than skinnies, less than BFs.
