				<description>&#060;p&#062;Yes. You answered my question. Thanks! And I thought &#034;Town&#034; -- strolling down the streets... But I agree -- with a country home too.&#060;/p&#062;

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Well, if we're looking at from an  American perspective (the average American like my husband, not fashion savvy ladies such as ourselves) then it's town and it's dressy.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;If we look at it thinking about the crown or Brits in general, then I'd say it's more lady in the country.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Either way, I love it on you. You look great!

				<title>L'Abeille on "Town or Country?"</title>
				<link>https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/town-or-country#post-1773514</link>

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Ok I'll concede Country... which will then encapsulate my entire work life (because this is as dressy as it gets). That simplifies things (naming), leaving Town for church and evenings out, and Shore for all my at-home and weekend wear (apt, because it's more casual but never gear). That just leaves me with the gender-ish subdivisions and the whole seasonal thing.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I didn't think of the extra casualising effect of the sweater (I usually wear this skirt with a button-front shirt, and it usually looks/feels a bit stuffy.) But in my imagination, I was seeing Grace Kelly -- the Chicago Grace, or maybe the Philadelphia Story. Although I suppose this would be her Country too.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Does that answer your question, AM? What this (using my imagination) does for me is to make dressing fun, and make sure each outfit is cohesive in itself (since I'm entirely remixing the same separates).&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;If you want full on Sloane Ranger, here's another recent outfit. The trumpet skirt is a very hairy, nubby tweed plaid, and the intarsia cardigan has African flora and fauna.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;I like the look, very nice.&#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Joy's &#034;Lady in the Country&#034; sounds just right to me. The sweater makes the outfit too casual to fall into the &#034;In the Town&#034; category.&#038;nbsp;

				<description>&#060;p&#062;This is a great look. I might call it Lady in the Country. We are enjoying The Crown too. Also Victoria, but it is not as good as The Crown. It would be fun to see more tromping through the heather outfits.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Very nice. Properly Sloaney.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;...And I'll go with Cathedral town. Between country and London <span aria-hidden="true" class="emoticon emoticon-wink icon-emoticon-wink "></span> London is just a whole order of magnitude.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;This is wonderful! I'm so glad you posted this. The way you describe it -- &#034;The Lady&#034; &#034;(In The) Town&#034; -- and referencing The Crown, QEII, etc. I can see the skirt floating down the street. So much imagery and romance for me -- the observer. I feel a level of fantasy, romance, playfulness by naming capsules (i.e. Apres Ski) which adds to my pleasure in wearing &#034;the look.&#034; But ultimately it has been about making my life easier in getting a handle on my wardrobe. &#038;nbsp;Did this help with simplification? Style? Added pleasure? What?&#060;/p&#062;

				<title>L'Abeille on "Town or Country?"</title>

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Worn to work today. For those who have been following the thread on Naming Capsules, this would fit into my category of &#034;(In the) Town&#034;. (As in, worn to work, so neither casual nor dressy.)  And, since it involves a skirt, this would be the  Lady, not the Gent.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;But... following my inspiration as the Gentlewoman... I've been watching and loving The Crown on Netflix. And I'm pretty sure this was what QEII wears to go tromping through the heather, which makes it Country. Oh well, that's the least of our differences...&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;The raglan sleeved cotton sweater is Joe Fresh, the pleated skirt is Talbot's. I kept the leather winter boots on through the morning, so I could walk to the hospital at noon, then wore black quilted loafers in the afternoon.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;With such an. &#034;open&#034; winter so far -- little snow, sidewalks mostly dry-- I have been walking outdoors if possible whenever the sun is shining. Which has its own footwear demands. And with that, I've been feeling my longer midi skirts more, whereas recent winters have been mostly pants (I just can't with pencil skirts and tights and static).
